Loving the teapot!!! I have just GOT to do the reverse graphic method!!! I have tons of wood scraps, access to a color laser printer and enough mod podge to seal a small house!! You can definitely use the gloss mod podge you just have to realize that you’re going to have a glossy finish instead of a matte finish. It will work perfect great deal.

It will work with lots of different types of paper. You just have to experiment and see what works.

Yes, I only use the mod podge Matt and it works for me for all of my projects

Hi Deidre 👋 when doing a reverse transfer and the paper is smaller than the piece of wood, how do you get all of the paper edges off? There are times that I can see the outline of the edge of the paper.

If you’re really seeing the address, it probably means that you’re using too much mod podge it’s thick, and it will show a line

Usually the problem is from using too much montage. It is a thick product, so when it dries you will see the outline, if you were doing smaller signs, I make the graphic the same size as the piece of wood and spread the mod podge right out to the edge and then you won’t see it at all.

Make sure you’re using the cheapest computer paper if you’re using I high-quality computer paper. It makes it very difficult to rub it off.

You can do the transfer method with an inkjet. It’s a bit more tricky, but it can be done. I have some comparison videos on my channel.

I tried the reverse method with a photo and the ink started bleeding half way through rubbing the paper off. I was left with a very dull photo on the painted wood with some paper left, because I didn’t want to completely lose the image. What did I do wrong? Lol The ink stayed on my fingers for 2 days. It was Canon printer ink.

Sounds to me like it’s your inkjet printer. Some are really tricky to do the transfer method with if you send me pictures over on Instagram or Facebook if I have a visual look, I can probably tell you exactly.
