Would it be weird to ask “I love you”? I’m the QUEEN of all things DIY and have been putzing around with doing the moss poles out of only the really stiff pvc coated wire mesh. I kinda hate them with a passion at this point. So I started looking into buying those pre made plastic ones with the closed back but just cannot bring myself to pay THAT MUCH for the damn things. After your video I’ll only need to buy those plastic sheets as I have everything else already. Yay! You’re the absolute bestest! You’ve brought this plant hoarding lover of all things DIY much joy. Cheers!🤗 PS-I love your glasses!! Great style, woman!❤️ 🌱 Holy moly! I spoke too soon and didn’t notice the FABULOUS HAIR until you turned your back! Stunning💜
Hello again, I finally found ur creative moss pole that's curved & made from plastic, however wen you were done, I was curious how you then attached the green rod to the pole for extra stability??
Found your channel and binged the past few weeks and thru your episode with sydney plant guy I then binged some of his channel. I’ve been growing in LECA and making my own bonsai medium for a few years and now that my plastic backing arrived and my moss is soaked I’m thrilled to learn this progression up moss poles. Thank you for sharing your passion and time and thank you for inspiring/empowering healthy, thriving plants!!
if you run a water siphoning wick string in an upside down u through the moss and out the bottom you can either put the ends of the string in a bowl or down to the water resevoir under the leca to siphon water up to the moss so it wont dry out
Thank goodness I came across your channel and this video. I have a Monstera growing in a very big glass vase with water and is getting way too big to stand straight up by itself. In the past I struggled with growing my Monstera in soil so I then transferred to all water and it’s be a success. I was having a hard time trying to figure out what to do but I believe I have now found the perfect idea. Thank you!
Hi This was a very clever idea and thanks for detailing this out here. Please can you share more details of the plastic sheet that you are using . The link seems to be broken. Maybe you could share the exact name and specifications as well if need to be picked from Amazon
I made my first pole after watching your videos and the plant put a little tendril in the moss before I even got around to attaching it! So sweet. Planning to switch to a more sustainable material also per your videos but figured I should use up the moss I already own. Thank you for your great content!
Have been check so many vlogs... here is... subscribed. So informative, very clear, on point! Everything I need are here... glad so thankful for it! 👍 🇭🇲 🇲🇨 Added : love your plants !!!! 😍😍
I'm so grateful for your instructions on making those beautiful moss poles so so helpful, I am DorothyG from Prince George, VA. I've never used Lecce before but I'm ordering it and some moss today. You're showing your Chinese money plants and peace lilies, you have sold me on Lecce . I am having some issues with my Monstera is struggling I'm going to pot it in the Lecce, Thanks 😊
Omg, I have watched so many plant people's videos but you are my favorite! Super easy to understand and setting a timeline for each part is so convenient for me.! Thx so much! 😘
Oh I love this method, this will help a lot for my situation. Currently I just can’t keep moss moist and my pole just sheds bits all over due to how dry it is.
This is excellent. You’re very concise. I think I’ll give it a go. The ones online are coco coir and they’re very wide which doesn’t work well with smaller plants.
Thank you for sharing this info and showing how to make the moss pole. Can you please share the size of the plastic sheet you use long in this video? Thank you
I love your leave earrings 😍 I really enjoy watching your videos… I also love vine plants and always wonder how they can get to have those big massive leaves and on the monstereras those holes but thanks to you I have learned how that gets accomplish, big THANKS for that 😊❤️🌱🪴
Hi Nora, your plants are extraordinary! I have two questions first, what are the benefits to having plastic backing versus without and how do handle pests with a moss pole? My apologies if you have addressed these issues. I am a new subscriber. Your plants are impressive! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Handling pests would be the same as for a plant not on a pole. The plastic sheet backing keeps the roots growing down and it also helps retain moisture.
Hi Nora, new to your channel and loving it. Thanks so much for all the information and thorough description, links etc. I am going to give this a go. I am going to use a 10cm pot for a small plant, should l use the same pole as in this video?
Hey there Ms. Queen Nora. Great videos. I can’t find the link for the moss. I know you say yours is New Zealand moss but how do I get it in the USA? Thank you Ms. Queen Nora.
Hi Leca Queen, where do you get your double hole punch without the guard? The .8 mil plastic is hard to find, would .10 mil work? My D poles are going to be tall. I have watched you all day and can not find the hole punch or large enough plastic. I do have the green mesh and have made the round moss polls. The plastic is the problem, your link for Amazon, I'm a little confused. Could you plz give me the correct plastic description on Amazon that you use?
Great video! You have beautiful plants. This might be a stupid question, but how do you keep the moss pole moist? Do you water from the top? Or does the shpagnum moss act as a wick?
Thank you. There are no stupid questions. Happy to respond to anything. I water the moss and the nutrient solution trickles down. I have a video that describes this process lined up for next Tuesday so keep an eye out.
Hi! I’m obsessed w these poles!! I’ve bought everything, except the plastic sheets. I used your link (I’m in the US) for the sheets n it’s not the correct size like yours. I’m having trouble finding a sheet 24”x36” and the thickness I’m not completely sure because I think your measurements are different than mine in the US. Do u have another link for these on Amazon or what I should be searching for in US measurements?
Hi Nora - thank you so much for this. I have been reading about moss poles for a few weeks and thought I would attempt one this week. However I do have a couple of questions for you based on the Snow Queen you showed us in this video. 1) how to you make the holes that are running down the back of the pole, to put the cables around the external green pole you fixed to the back? and 2) what are the large holes in the back of the plastic backing on the Snow Queen? You didn't explain why they were there and how you made them. I was wondering if they were something important I had to do with mine? Any advice? And thanks again!
oh sorry - and what were the 2 holes for at the top and the bottom you suggested we add for? You didn't mention this (I went through a few times but it is entirely possible my brain is broken from a long week at work). Also, if you put the green pole on the back like the Snow Queen and put THAT in the Leca instead of the soft wire wouldn't that help it be more stable than the wire? Sorry totally trying to such everything from your fabulous tutorial (and looking to emulate your plants of course! :))
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! I certainly did not reinvent the wheel, I am simply putting my own spin on what others before me have done.
Hello Nora, thank you for information. I’ve been growing in leca for few years now and I love it very much. I am not able to find the video how to assemble the pole into the pot video you’ve mentioned at the end, on some reason. Would you kindly share that video. A few of my poles actually not sturdy enough. And my dog is constantly knocking it over. Would love to see how you manage to secure the pole into the pot with leca. Thank you very much. Cheers from Boston 😀
Try this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iC9xRVj8WJ8.html You could also attach the mosspole to the plastic pot using a cable tie to make it stay in place. I do not do this becauseI can't be bothered and the poles stay upright just fine. Check out my video onhow tokeep the polesfrom falling ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cy1SlG8qvK4.html
@@TheLecaQueen Thank you dear. I’ll need to try it out. How high water nutrient solution you have in the pot all the time? 1/3 of the pot or 1/4? How often you add water to your leca plants? Do you check the water level in your heavy post? Or you have plants in soil in heavy pots? Thank you.
Does anyone have a link for the plastic sheet in the USA. The one in the description doesn’t work 😢 Great video can’t wait to make my own if I can find the sheet
Beautiful plants, amazing!! Also, I want plants so Nice like yours so I decide to put moss pole in all of them. Can a pole moss ocupate 40-50% of The pote? What The necessary pote number to grownup healthy leafs? Thank you for all The content in your channel. Huggs from Brazil and sorry about my english it is in progress.
If anyone else in the US is searching I’ve found packs of clear flexible cutting boards (food prep) on Amazon that are .8mm in thickness like the sheet used in this video and I think they’ll work great:) I’ll have to attach multiple together since they’re only 17 in but The Lecca queen has another very awesome video on that!
I have 1 question HOW do you keep your moss poles moist? I can water mine one day and 2 days later is already so dry. Do you have any suggestions to keep it moist longer? I love the moss poles but I do not have time to water them every other day. Please help!!
Hi Nora I live in Victoria but can’t seem to find the plastic backing that you use for the moss poles. I have looked at Bunnings they don’t seem to stock it and office works are out of stock. Do you know of another supplier where I could purchase some from. Loving your videos and learning so much from you thank you
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! So sorry to hear that you can not find it. I have done a brief Goggle search and you can get it online although the cost of shipping makes it a bit pricey. I will try to think of other items that are easily accessible that we can use.
I like this a lot, but I have a question. What if you need to attach a second part on top after they keep growing? Is it doable? Because I'd you can, it would be perfect! Edit: Nevermind! I think I found your extention video! 😅👍🏼
I’m so sad I already put a bunch of my plants on the older moss pole idea. And I’m watering them every other day. Is there a way to add something to the ones I already made to keep moisture in longer?
For sure. I did the same thing with some of my older poles. I just measured the plastic sheet I needed and attached it to the back of the pole and Bob's your uncle!

Hy Nora, I hope you can help me, how do you make this Moosholders longer, I woud like to make them something round obout 2m. Some of your wonderful flowers in the back also look like 2m high. It seems like. How you put this short pieces together. Hope my english is readable Thanks for sharing this video
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! I have a video that shows how I extend my pole going live later today. Check out another one I made about this subject here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v2BdxNfovB4.html
I am going to try to build my own, since my store bought with coconut cuir is not working. Can you recommend a brand of moss in the US, that is comparable to what use?
Hey, I am new on your channel and I love your videos! I just think it's a bit of waste to use the tie ribs in stead of a wire. But thank you for your videos!
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Thank you for your comment. I find it easier to work with cable ties but if wire works better for you then I applaud it. The best way to take care of your plants is what works for you.
Instead of using that clear plastic sheet you can also use screen for a window, roots cant get through it....if people arent able to find those sheets of plastic
Hi, this video is “old” at this point-wondering if you have any new links to the plastic you use for this? I’m not seeing anything over 14” which seems smaller than the A2 size you’ve found, & which I’d prefer! ☺️ hope you see this & thank you!!

There probably is but unfortunately I amnot in a position to recommend anything, especially something I have not used. It might be worth asking what other semi hydro folks in the US use.
I use a regular fert called Follage Pro. 1/4 the recommended strength. Can be found on Amazon. I seen someone else used this instead of the 3 part hydroponics mixture.....
