Cool, I’ve got baskets of eighties jewelry from when my daughter was a teenager, guess that will be my new Hobby! Dismantling and making new jewelry! What cheap fun!!! Yeah, tons of ideas! Thanks!!
This is how I started jewellery making. I had lots of broken jewellery so I took them apart and changed them up. I love going to charity shops to see what pieces of jewellery they have, by doing this I've found all sorts of components that I wouldn't think of looking for 😁 I loved the last pair of earings and bracelets you made.
Thank you Matt! Good video for the kiddos, and adults supervising them, to learn from, as they are home from school! Take care!!! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene
Great inspiration! Especially for some that aren't sure how to start a piece. I like using this technique for pieces I have that I'm tired of, but don't want to get rid of. You add and subtract to the original and WOW. It's a satisfying feeling. I really like your presentation Matt. And no fingers got fused together! LOL🖖
I don’t know about him, but I do. Or add components like these to things I make. Wire wrap a stone then add a used/reused dangle to the bottom. If you are mass producing a collection of 10 items this wouldn’t work, but if you are making one of a kind this is a huge time saver and super cute.
I get such a kick seeing Matt never boxing himself into a corner doing one avenue of art. Jewelry with stones & wire wrapping, wood, clay, glass...you name it!!! Then there are his other venues, ceramics, furniture, painting, teaching, and music. I'm sure I missed something...oh, he can get more Twizlers in his mouth than most people...😂🤣😅.
That necklace with the tube beads should have been completely dismantled...those top sections as earrings...no ..too heavy ....all the beads are more valuable individually for other creations....those earrings....were gross
