Both the Osmo Mobile 3 but it’s motors are too weak to handle the camera - and - something else (like a Shure MV88 mic) so I’m giving this a try on the hopes that the wire connection to the mic doesn’t kill the gimbal’s gimbaling.

you may not know .. Pressing 3 times the video button on the smooth Q2 automatically rotates the axis to bring the phone to the position to avoid the back motor (for wide-angle camera phones)

Did you experience any issues with the gimbal and the iPhone 11 pro? Did the gimbal get in the way of the wide angle at any point? Strongly considering the Q2 but want to make sure it will work good with my new phone

Didn't have any issues. Using the ultra wide works you just have to align it correctly.

I’m a big fan of the Osmo pocket. If they can get an ultra wide lens into the next version, that’d be the best travel camera in my opinion.

What about balancing the phone with all that added weight? Can you make a video showing that the motors are capable of full range movements with the case, lens, and microphone?

It doesn't add much weight. Just have to rebalance. This video has shots of it all on the gimbal working.

Please update your review to INCLUDE when using Ultra Wide on iPhone 11 Pro Max with Smooth Q2 you will see the edge of the stabilizer in the shot when using the gimbal. Solution: use it only in flashlight mode when using ultra-wide lens. 👍🙂

I have the 11 Pro Max with the Nomad leather case. Do you think the Zhiyun Smooth Q2 would work with this weight? I am skeptical as I wouldn't like to having taking the case on and off every time.

Actually the iPhone 11 pro already have a wide lens which produce nice videos. I don’t think anyone should use the external lens because the iPhone camera is best than any attachments

Hi Matt, can you comment on ease of controlling audio input levels and file structure using the Rode with apple video app? Are you using a third party app to capture vid and audio? Thanks!

If you want to control the levels you'll need a 3rd party. But in my use the levels are pretty great in the stock app. I'd use filmic for the whole package.

Karan Warde I’ve heard that is normal. I haven’t used the 18w charger yet. I’ve been using the 5w from my iPhone X and it doesn’t get warm.

U kiddin? Smooth Q2 is one of the best gimbals despite one downside; you can see the motor when using wide angle. It is small and work smoothly. So it is a good run and gun combo with that rode mic me l. I saw your video and it does not look real. Your gear makes it oversaturrated. Whether you use that gimmick to draw people biting on the baits you use or not, u better be real. Today people are not very stupid.
