I find your sketchbook tours really inspiring. You’ve encouraged me to keep trying to work in a sketchbook. I know how important it explore in a sketchbook but I have a hard time showing up to practice. Thank you for showing your work, as always. 🌈

I also have seen the little golden books used as sketchbooks. I think it is a great idea. I think Daniel Donaldson uses one in one of her books. I've been waiting on the thrift stores to open back up & us not be on a lockdown here in Ohio to go look for one. I have a couple of Shirley Trevina books & love her style too. I love your channel & find you very inspiring. Cute little Lilly hands. Takes me back to those memories of my own boys when they were little. Enjoy those moments.

Hello Irit, thank you for sharing your current sketchbooks. Love all your faces and floral abstracts. 💕 Great idea to have different sketchbooks for different purposes. I use Golden books (or similar ones) to make journals so it’s lovely see you use them in a different way too as the covers are such fun 🤗. Have a lovely day too. Keep well, Valérie 🌈🎨💖

I love your sketches and sketchbooks Irit. It’s kind of amazing that you make some of your own. Abstract is really cool idea for watercolor. I have different sketchbooks for classes, sketches, and watercolor too. I think we may be sisters. Lol. Creating is so wonderful and healing and I’m completely obsessed in a good way. 💕

Great video. I think your sketches are awesome. In art, as in anything in life, there are the excellent and outcomes and the not so excellent. It's all a learning process. I'm intrigued with the Jeanne Oliver class and might look into it. I like the Quadrato journal! Love hearing your daughter on the video. So adorable!!! Hope you are all doing well.

I think it’s good to show everything, even those You aren’t pleasant with. There are to many showing their sketches that are only first class work and not one they didn’t fail on. And that isn’t possible

Abstract watercolor is an area that interests me as well. I found a amazing artist on RU-vid that does expressive abstract watercolor who is very inspiring to watch. She has made me brave enough to attempt experiments and not feel like I’m wasting paper. Her channel is Michelle Kral watercolor if your interested in viewing.

love your woman faces Irit...from your head...they are lovely...thank you for sharing! I TOTALLY love your abstract watercolours in the signature book...I do the same...often...love how they look...and I think...of doing a full sheet someday....but making the mud...could be so easy😳

I am really bad at drawing faces but I love yours, so whimsical 💖 I’m a sketchbook hoarder and I can’t resist trying a new one 😬 Im currently using, among many, the Fabriano Venezia one and I really like it. 200 gsm paper and pretty sturdy. I used watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and it holds those medium pretty well. Thanks for sharing your favorite sketchbooks 😊

I was once good at sketching. I know because I came across my old sketchbook. So for the last couple of weeks I have taken up some sketching again as I have been too overwhelmed to paint anything except abstract. I am enjoying it but I am way out of practise. Thank for sharing yours.

Thanks for sharing! Yes, practice seems to be essential... But knowing that is an important step! I know people who say they can't draw, it's only cause they never have!

I currently have the 5 by 5 inch, it's not made from cotton but I think if you're on a budget it works well. Although where the book mark is connected and the spine of some of the pages peal slightly when you bend it back too far and clip it, I have a bad habit of doing that. It also comes with 80 pages I think and a 4 panel accordion in the back. I also think it is pretty accessible through amazon.

Forgot to mention but it is roughly 200 gsm cold pressed paper and for the 5 by 5 inch it is about 15 dollars usd.
