After hours of working on this preset, I'm so excited to release it to the public! Lo and behold, the Sugerplum ReShade preset.
I wanted this preset to feel warm and cosy, perfect for playing the game snuggled up in blankets on a rainy day. The Sims 4 has such beautiful nature, so I also focused on bringing out its beauty, no matter what season.

I have never used reshade in my game (I have a Mac and it scares me) but I will now, especially since I believe you can use Reshade on Mac now. This is beautiful and so natural! Thank you for this!

I've been putting off updating to the newest Reshade because I had a hard time trying to copy over my own preset, but I think I want to give it another try now! I never got those mxao shaders to work properly, so it'd be interesting to see if I could do it now. Thank you, I absolutely love the look of this!

I’ve tried downloading gshade twice now and I’ve tried adding the shades to my game but it never looks right the colours are all off and it looks really bad and idk what’s wrong with it, I was wondering if you could help 😊

This preset and many others now use ReShade! You can still use GShade, but it does have malware in it, so I'd advise not to. The tutorial I linked in the description box is for ReShade, and anything I'll say to you here was mentioned and covered there. I hope you can get it working! ❤️

why is it a configuration setting file? the rest of my files in bin are labeled .fxfile?

Hm, it may be because of how I exported it? I'm not certain, though. It should work the same regardless!

This preset was created using reshade, so it might only work with reshade! I've not tested it on gshade as I don't use gshade anymore. ❤️

I tried to put presets (including this one) into my bin but it kept saying that I need permission to put it in, help pls

Make sure that you have administrator access to your bin folder. What you'll need to do is find your bin folder, right click on it, go down to properties, then go to security and make sure your user is selected there. If this doesn't work, try doing the exact same thing but with the preset files. I hope this helps!

@@Plumbie so I tried to the go the security thing but when I changed permission it still wasn’t working and when I went back to properties it had the permission off

@@emyyj Hm, I'm not sure exactly what might be causing that because I've run into a similar problem before, and just changing the permission seemed to work. Maybe try looking at the reshade forums to see if anyone else has run into the same issue and found and fix for it!
