This is actually the first df album I've listened to in full. I always ignored them just bc the band name is goofy as hell but the album art got me on this one and I'm glad I listened. This thing RIPS

Love the album cover on this one, looks like a 70s horror movie poster. Also cool how they used both logos, one superimposed over the other.

Yeah this is easily one of the best records I've heard this year. Puts to shame a lot of the 2023 deathcore releases for sure.

I see Rob has the DF bug yet again, warms my heart. These guys are a Top 5 personal favorite. Wrong One when I heard it in high school was one of those pivotal records that got me used to and eventually enjoying the harsh vocals and the intense emphasis on the guitars. I even told their drummer Trey Williams about it and he was like “it can be a lot, sometimes you just need that extra push” lol With Fetus, I feel like I just want more, so the long runtime of Wrong One doesn’t bother me as much. It’s like going to a well cooked buffet in my eyes. But I get the issues people have with the run time and the embarrassing lyrical matter. Still, I’m super stoked for this record!

I’ll stream the album this Friday when I’m getting my wisdom teeth pulled!

Y’know after listening to this album so many times since it’s come out it’s already climbed to the top of my favorite dying fetus records, and tbh it might be close to overthrowing reign supreme as my favorite dying fetus record imo which is crazy to say lol.It’s my favorite brutal death metal album of the year. Such a incredible album

Was quite the treat to see Unbridled Fury live in LA earlier this year!! That final minute is one of my favorite things of 2023🎉

Best death metal band out

Ultra Brutal Death Metal may not energise me in the way some other subgenres of metal do, but I do like to dip my toes in a bit of sledgehammer sonic smashing from time to time. All that is to say, I'm looking forward to giving this record a chance. It may not be for me, but it's worth a listen or two anyway :)

Dying Fetus never fail. 2023 is the year of death metal

Its interesting to me how much more consistent older dudes making death metal in quality, compared to old dudes making thrash. Old bands making thrash is always a toss up. But death metao guys just do their thing, and i respect it. Cannibal corpse and dying fetus being two perfect examples.
