I have to admit, the more pins I use, the better my seams and blocks come out. I’ve always wanted to do a postage stamp quilt so this will be my starting point. I figure one block a week and I’ll have a quilt in no time. Thank you FQS for these amazing videos.

Kimberly thank you. Your precise, concise instructions and tips are invaluable. Especially about starching because that makes the cutting of of the thin white strips so easy. And you get that satisfying sound with every slice to boot! You’re the best!

I would love it if you were to show how to set the blocks on point and finish the quilt top. I know it's not your favorite thing to do, but I'd love to see how you do it.

This block would really work with seasonal prints especially if they are tiny prints. Love the red/white/blue color theme. Also you could cut 1.5 X 9 inch of left over scraps and organize in a bin to make scrappy postage stamp blocks. Then you only need to fill in with background color strips

Beautiful fabric! This is an easy block to make but it is labor intensive. I would have to cut all my strips from yardage because those pinked edges drive me nuts. Thanks, Kimberly. Love it!

Those pinked edges clog up my sewing machine, too. I hate them. I wish manufacturers would just rotary/laser cut the fabric strips.

So.. if you have a Jelly roll - are you cutting the strips down the middle for 2 x 1.25? Or are you cutting a 1.5 inch and leaving the 1 inch strip for another project?
@FatQuarterShopTX

Hello Rhodeygirl! On the free block pattern, the instructions for the JR are on page 3 & 4. Same with the PDF quilt pattern, the Twin and Queen sizes are made with Jelly Rolls.
