Any who, I have question maybe I missed it, the 2c to 2oz were used beans for second batch? I'm presently 1mon in on my very first 8c to8 oz going. 2nd question when you do your second batch do you only use old beans or do you mix new w/ old? Ty 🙂🙂
When we make vanilla or are refreshing a mother jar of vanilla we add new/fresh beans to the jar. You can put the old beans in sugar or honey to get a second use out of them though. Hope this answered your question!
@@1ladymacleod263 the honey needs to sit for at least six weeks. Longer if you want a stronger flavor profile in the honey! Let me know how they turn out for you!
P.s. Ina Garten isn't making "extract" she's making flavored alcohol. FDA standard for "extract" is following the method shown in my video...not saying it won't taste good, but it's not actually extract and the extract tastes even better than Ina's...jmo
