My cat is 14 and going strong! My vet and and work hand in hand over his health. He’s actually diabetic and healthy except for the slight glucose level. He’s had divine intervention at times and I believe he will live longer than most. He’s indoor and outdoor with me in the yard. He’s well loved, eats the best foods prescribed by vet. He gets plenty of stimulation with cat tree and playing ball with me. Yes, please take care of your cat. He will live longer if you take good care of him.

I found my kitty in the woods when she was just a baby.that was probably newly weaned. She's now 6 years old and is the queen of my house.

i've had cats all my life, currently have many cats from all ages, 2 day old kittens to an 11 year old, and differing ages between these two. they are all healthy, never been sick, never been to the vet except for neutering. all of them were found as a few months old kittens on streets. one major thing i do is i never take them to the vet for those regular shots and they have food and water 24/7. none of them are overweight. and of course they receive lots of love from their mamma.

I had a Siamese which just passed away at 28 I had it for 12 years and my dad had it for 12 years and my sister for three and Adam before my current one is only 3 months old so it doesn't really apply for this the oldest cat I had was when he had as a boy which was Jack Benny when he was called play black and white cat kitty in my car or cow Kitty he was two years old when we got him and I was in elementary school he was still alive I think he got hit by a bus when I was a junior in high school he was an interesting cat start it on a city cat and then he ended up a country cat and put the bulls rolls nicely

Currently stressing lab results due any day on my 14 month old orange rescue. Dread hearing the word malignant on his anal mass. Just want a full life for him.

Something you didn't mention will help our kitties live longer, get more exercise, more bonding time, and happiness is interactive play. Cats need a lot of stimulation, some breeds more than others. My Oriental short hair is the athlete of the cat world. He has insanely high energy and needs a lot of stimulation and interactive play besides regular new toys. He gets bored but then he's just 7 months old. He's amazing. I know I have a much happier, healthier, contented kitten because of our high rate of interactive play. He eats kitten food that is grain free and gets occasional treats like a blueberry or banana, and grain free kitten treats. He is strictly indoors. He will live longer because of all these things. Oh, and he gets fresh greens like cilantro or wheat grass to help with his digestion. Hope this helps someone and their beloved kitty.
