Thanks for the helpful die cutting tip, Chris. I've been looking at my dies through a different lens since I started watching your channel. I'm having fun doing my own experimenting. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤ From Cheryl in AZ
Thank you for your video. Love the great tip about using dies! Brilliant. You always have something good to share. Definitely another one of your "thumbs up" video! 😊
I understand that besides subscribing and liking your videos, searching for Christine Stokes will help your channel. I try to remember to search for my favorite card makers every once in a while. Hope it helps
Great tutorial, Christine 😊. Thanks for the tip on using the edged die to create a different sized cut-out. I have a set of dies that I rarely use because they are either too long or too slim. I'm going to try them with this technique. I've never used the Nuvo glue, usually reach for Art Glitter Glue or Bearly Art glue, but my favorite is Pinflair Glue-it Bookbinding Glue. I rarely use the Pinflair because I only have one bottle of it. A friend from Essex brought it to me a while ago when she was still coming to her house near me in Florida, but she no longer visits here. I've tried to find a source here in the U.S., but so far have been unsuccessful. It's such a great all-purpose glue; I'll be sorry when my one bottle drips its last drop. Thank you for continuing to inspire us.
I did laugh out loud, I misheard and thought you said you'd probably met the lady “in the bath”, but you'd actually said “in the past” 😂😂 such fun, thanks for sharing 🤗🥰
I have adjusted the sizes of rectangles and squares in the past, but never thought of doing it with other edges, such as the torn edge, scalloped edges, etc.) Thanks for the tip! And I look forward to another video with you and Lou! 💖
I keep those same scraps from my A4 square cards too, and your tip gives me so many new possibilities for using dies that are too big for them. Now I can create panels. Another fabulous idea!
Somehow I would have made altering the size of the die much more complicated. I'll have to keep it in mind for when I think I don't have the right size die. I wasn't expecting a video this morning so this was a nice surprise. I'll be anticipating your next collab with Lou. I really enjoyed yesterday's.
I used to forget to give thumbs up too, but then I got into the habit of "thumbs up" before I began the video, that way I knew it was already done. I love your card Christine, those little blooms are interesting and so pretty. And of course I love the background distressed panel you made. Hugs, Brenda
You might also ask people to watch your video all the way to the end: that too really helps your channel. I'm a newbie to your channel and I love it! 😊
Welcome! I didn’t know the significance of watching all the way to the end, it’s surprising the number of people who only watch a snippet!🤔 thanks for your support!♥️
Great tips Christine, especially the cutting down of a big die. That will be really useful. I must admit to forgetting to give thumbs up sometimes. I have in the past opened up the video so I can give the thumbs up. Love that stamp with all the letters on it!
Love your videos, and there are always a couple of ideas, sometimes just one (but than a very good one😂😉), that are new to me (yhat glewstick idea is brilliant) , but always lots of inspiration and beautiful cards and you are so funny, so... Also so great to watch your videos.
Some super tips Christine and another lovely card made, thanks for your inspiration and great to hear you & Lou are doing another collaboration. Many thanks 😊
Gorgeous card Christine. Loved what you did with the flower dies. I haven’t had time to play with mine yet. I also now need the frame die! 🤣🤣🤣 Lovely to meet you at the show Jan 😍
I think a little treatment for the petals will be needed next time, I'll have to see what I can come up with… it was great chatting to you too Jan♥️♥️♥️
Ah! A cuppa and a tutorial, such a pleasant way to start the day. Great that you and Lou will collaborate again, I shall look forward to it. Thanks for the handy tip about adapting the size of a die and I love the pink/grey combo. I have Mr Siri's offsider here chastising me from time to time. She's a pain as well! TFS 💮💮💮
@@Chrissieannie Yes he has, she speaks with a posh Australian accent! I was talking to my husband one day about something quite innocuous and she chimed in piously "That's not a very agreeable thing to say!" 😆
Thanks for another video with lots of inspiration ❤. I can see what I now need in my collection in Gummiapan 😆😆. Will love to see another collaboration with you 2❤
Really pretty card, love your new dies and the lovely ideas you share. Looking forward to your next collaboration with Lou totally enjoyed the last one. Thank you and take care.
Love the new dies and How you changed the size. I have seen you do that technique before with a sentiment and have used the technique. You are so cleaver. I think it is great that you and Lou have decided to do more collaborations. ❤
She was so anxious that you could get my autograph; I’m sorry you couldn’t be there, but hope that the card was a small consolation! We may manage to meet up sometime, who knows ?😊😊😊
Hi. Thank you for sharing this video, it's chocca with ideas, inspiration and information. I REALLY like that raggedy rectangular die as there's just so many ways to use it including pirate maps, antique style notebook décor, etc. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.😊
What great news that you and Lou are going to collaborate again. Just a suggestion. 🙂🙂As the Craft Room is the most important room in the house along side the kitchen, I think you should move it to the largest room. 🤣🤣🤣Then everything you need will be close to you. I wonder what hubby would say if you suggested the move 🤣🤣. Much love xxx
As it is I’m so squished for space that practically everything is within arm’s reach! If I had a bigger room I’d have to keep getting up… maybe that’s a good idea for the size of my hips!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the DL die, something different. Great tip to change the length and width. I love your tutorials, always natural and down to earth. It would be great to see another with you and Lou. Beautiful card Christine 👏❣️
Ahhh that’s how to do it, I have that die and I was going to use it the other day and I couldn’t work out how to make it smaller. Daft me or impatient more like.
@@Chrissieannie unfortunately there seems to be only one place in Australia. That stocks that brand and they do not have that particular die. Many thanks.
You can order directly from Sweden ... Gummiapan.com or from the UK agent Gummiapan.co.uk both ship worldwide.i have friends in Australia who buy from them all the time!
I love how you think through things! It’s wonderful to have new ways to use our dies. Any way to stretch the $$$ these days is greatly appreciated! Thank you, Christine! 💕 Would you consider showing us every step for making those sentiments with your Design Space? I have an Explore Air 2, and would be THRILLED if I could make sentiments without dies. 😮
I create computer sentiments in Word 2013. I have got a video on how I do that but sadly I don’t have any experience of using any other software. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-75GQBUfIGeg.html
Love the card Christine. Have you tried shaping flowers to add some dimension to them? The tip on using the die is fab and I’ll be sure to try that. Thanks ❤
@@Chrissieannie I’m laughing to myself. Of course you know how to add dimension to flowers and have done a video about it. What was I thinking 🤦♀️ The phrase “don’t teach your granny to suck eggs” comes to mind 💕
If you added a few more layers I think your flowers would look like pinks - dianthus. I found a lovely trick thanks to Juili Kelkevar (I hope I spelled her right) on YT 🎉for making diecut flowers look real - you just spritz them very lightly after you colour them and then screw them up as tight as you can. You can leave them to dry or use a heat tool, and then unfurl and the dimension it gives along with the soft colouring is really natural. I love today's card. Thanks
Christine, I enjoy very much your videos, it is very nice of you showing us your tricks and techniques. I just have a question, why don't you finish all the projects on the videos? Most of the videos you said you will finished and post in other social media places. I don't have other social medis accounts, just RU-vid and probably other people may have similar situation. I will like to see your videos finishing the cards, please Thank you so much.
If you watch RU-vid you should be able to access the Community tab on my channel (sadly not if you use an iPad) I put my finished cards there. I often have a problem saving my videos after adding the titles etc and so I add them elsewhere a) to save space so I can get the video saved ready for uploading to RU-vid and b) so that viewers can see a close up of the finished card. I do finish some cards on the videos, so that regular viewers will know the steps I take to complete them.
Once again, a beautiful card and a fabulous tip. Thank you! Just one question, name or # of the flower dies? I looked all over Gummiapan and couldn't find THOSE! Help? Hugs Christine! You are the best!💝
