In this video I'm using Strymons beautiful ambient reverb pedal, the Cloudburst. I'm using the Ensemble mp mode to add texture and motion to the pads. I really like the strings sounds it generate which reminds me of something like the Solina string ensemble. I'm using all four outputs, 1-2 for the piano sounds and 3-4 for the pads which I run thru the Cloudburst.
I'm using the patch "Pearl Upright" from my Nord Stage 4: Worship Patches Collection. The patch is built with Nord Keyboards Pearl Upright and the pads "Warm Pad" and Sunday Pad" from my custom-sampled pads library.

I’ve used pearl upright, it sounds great! But I found out maverick uses a monarch Baldwin upright. I found this out from observing their music vids from when they started. They recorded the upright and downloaded it into their Nord.

Thanks for tuning in. Cool, I haven’t heard that before. But sampling an upright piano for your Nord sounds a bit strange to me. First of all because you will have to bring the sample into the sample section and not the piano section. For the piano sample to sound good it will need to be a fairly large sample and that will take up most of the space in the sample section. Secondly Nord Keyboards sampling software is clearly not as good as other sampling software, so achieving high quality piano sampling sounds like a hard task. But I would love to know more about this. I’ll check it out.

@@NoahWonder I saw the piano player in the music video playing a sit down upright but he had the hood open and had mics in it to record the sound quality. Then I saw another music video where he was playing the Nord stage 2 but the piano sound, sounded just like the physical upright. So that’s why I assume that is what they did

@@looktotheword8290 some comments had suggested it. Especially things like their volume 3 album, bc I was so desperate for that sound, I ZOOMED into each video where the piano shot is being taken, and also noticed that a layer of Royal Grand 3D was played in for Yes & Amen. Black Upright however, sounds the closest to where you will get I think.

Could I do the same with the Stage 2? Also m, got to give a huge thanks. Love your Stage 2 patches and use them every Sunday. They’ve added so much!

Thank you so much! I’m very happy to hear you like and use my patches every Sunday! I highly appreciate your support! While the Stage 4 comes with more advanced features compared to the Stage 2, they share many similarities and I think it’s possible to achieve something like this, yes. You could use the Cloudburst with your Stage 2 like I use the Cloudburst in this video, however the Cloudburst is not necessary to get great sounds of course. I would love to hear from you if you have any questions about the sound, the cloudburst or anything else.

@@NoahWonderHow do you make the video quality look so clear? I know you said you use an iPhone 14 Pro, and was just wondering how you get such quality from it. Also what Video editor do you use?

Thanks, I'm glad to hear you like my video quality! My setup is actually very simple. I'm using an iPhone 14 pro and the Amaran 200xs with a softbox for the lighting. I'm editing in Final Cut Pro.

I do some minor color corrections in the editing. I’m filming 4K 30fps.
