You can buy the vans. You can order the markers, but you absolutely can not buy talent. Please dont think this is something anyone can do. Miss Wah has some serious talent and amazing pen skils. DOPE!

Not to detract from miss wah’s skill though! but it should not discourage others from trying, it totally IS someone anyone can do if they study and practice.

I know this was posted two year ago but still. You should never discourage or shame or discredit someone to build another person up. If your really passionate about something. You will learn and gain "talent" with hard work over time. That first pair vans might be terrible but you have to fail to succeed.

Amazing work ! One question: do you spray the Vans after fishing the art? I mean to protect the ink in rainy days for example ? Or is just not necessary ?

i have worn posca shoes in the rain before and they have been fine - but if you want to give them a little extra rain protection you can get the rain repellent spray I have seen it in schuh and places like that or try amazon :) x

Did you have to prep the vans beforehand so that the paint doesn't bleed? Being that the shoes are canvas

She probably painted it with Fabric or Acrylic Paint. It smoothes out the uneven texture of the Canvas.

what nib did you use? I used a 0.7mm and drew on my bag and it felt scratchy and weird. the colour looks kinda patchy too. is this nib too small?

I saw online that to seal the pen to the fabric you should iron the back or heat with a hair dryer, is this true, or will it be waterproof on its own?

Is there a varnish u would recommend ? I’ve used the pens on leather and tried to varnish it w the varnish I usually use when using paints but unlike the paints the pens start to run once I apply the varnish. Please help

do you spray or do something to the shoe before using the markers? I tried making some shoes but mine don't look like that when I draw them I have to do a lot of coats

Hey - For these I didn't have any issues - but in the past I have had to do a few coats too ... You can try doing a layer of clear gesso onto the shoe (if its coloured - be prepared for it to alter the colour slightly) or try PVA glue (sounds weird - but once its dry it creates a smooth clear surface to draw on) ... Obviously hand wash - I wouldn't suggest putting them in the washing machine - Hope that helps x

luly sonia posca 5m & 3m outlines 1m-r try cultpens or amazon can get cheap packs - I would suggest hand wash only x
