YOU! GUYS! ROCK! But wait, we don't have to write and edit code? A missing comma won't send our project to parts unknown? Where's the fun in that? Great tutorial by the way. Very easy to follow.
Great application. Any plans to make some Board Maker Tutorials in the future. I could use a bit of help with this. I am trying to create more complex boards and I am hoping there is a way to do this in the board maker itself. Currently I am printing the boards and then pasting text printed with a label printer separately on to the board tiles afterwards.
This program seems absolutely incredible!! I was wondering how it handles low resolution card art? My game uses exclusively pixel art and a 4-color palette, even the text is, with each letter being 4x5 pixels. How easy would it be for me to make sure nothing goes off the pixel grid? It seem that even at low resolutions, borders and shapes in dextrous act like vectors (unless im wrong here)
Borders and shapes work like vectors yep, but if you have a strict grid I think you should be fine. Your art should still look pixelly if the pngs are pixelly if that makes sense. Hit us up on the Discord if you have any more specific questions.
1. Upload some images (see image library tab). 2. Simply create an image zone in the layout editor, and then when you get to the component editor (with the table) you can choose one of your uploaded images.
So I've made a frame and sync'd it with Google Sheets. How can I add symbols to the google sheets cell so that Dex will add the symbol to the frame. I need to edit energy costs for cards. I know someone did it in a spreadsheet that was used as a tutorial, but the adding of colored symbols was unexplained.
@@DextrousGameDesign And make sure you spell the icon name correctly. Spent a lot of time scratching my head trying to figure out why {Icons/swords.png} wasn't working for me, only to realise it was actually meant to be sword.png :)
The table rows ARE the other cards if that makes sense. Click on the card and duplicate it (ctrl+D) then you'll see another table row appear, which you can edit :)
