I take a 1/2" to 3/4" copper pipe adapter and turn it into a spot weld tip. It can help to maintain a consistent wire stick out for spot welding, and it will probably keep the shielding gas in place a little longer. It is removable, so you can go back to regular welding. This is for a Lincoln Welder and it should work on other types as well. Sorry about the wind noise half way through.
