When modding Zenistar for Electric on Saryn, why not use Melee Influence for more status spread? Her spores will do all the corrosive damage/armour strip you need and you have Venom dose for more Corrosive damage as well. Or Melee Duplicate for double hits on yellow crits. Alternatively, there's a new status queen in town with Citrine. Her 3 will burst Cold, Electric, Toxin and Heat to every target hit. Add Archon Continuity for free Corrosive and Archon Vitality for double Heat, ??? , profit. You could use Nourish or any buff helminth from Frost, Ember, Volt, Oberon or even Xata's Whisper (though I'm unsure about the interactions between Zenistar and the latter other than Void Damage strips Overguard). Otherwise a CC ability could work really well. Spectrosiphon lures enemies to its center; what if said center happens to be the Zenistar disc?
This is basically what I was doing to clear the mobs during the gargoyles cry event at the boss. I had people messaging me asking how I made the zenistar work again, lol.
I don't know why people are saying Zenistar was "killed" in the first place. With initial combo you'd get back to 40s per throw easily and that's pretty much the only change it had. Range is still the same. The only reason Zeni was godlike before is because of CO being multiplicative with itself and old Gas. It was never strong by itself.
Any Warframe that gives an even more damage buff if you remove shields or armor will make the Zenistar powerful. It doesn't have anything new. By itself the Zenistar is still very bad.
Of course zeni is gonna look good when you use 2 green shard Sarum with toxic lash and nourish lol. Also, I suggest running more fire rate on that routa
Shield gating isnt good anymore just health tank with blessing + adaptation... With or without guardian as your second arcane. I usually use molt augmented + blessing
melee guidance gives you -6s combo duration, if no other mods. Rauta forces combo count on hit, and gains combo faster with multishot and fire rate. one mag gives 12x with enough ms and mag size. because of the -1 combo count gaining combo and loosing combo are prevented = inf combo.
