All lovely makes, as usual! I actually jotted down two of the patterns--the Donny shirt and the Emmie tee. I have several clients' projects on my agenda--(5) Romans shades; (3) throw pillows; a remake of a window seat cushion; and an alteration of a "grandmother of the groom" ready-made dress (which, from the pictures, will actually end up with me taking it apart and remaking it...sigh). After that, I may actually get to do some projects of my own!
Thanks cu this!! Yes! The Donny and emmie are so great! I’ve made several of both! Sounds you have a lot on your plate at the minute!!! A grandmother of the groom dress! Wow! That’s a lot of pressure! I really hope you get to sew for yourself soon
Hello Rachel Beautiful makes lots of variety in your makes I also sew a variety of things not all for wearing I love your ideas and inspiration for putting together patterns and fabrics There are never enough hours in a day to get enough sewing time Well done thank you for taking time to share Happy sewing looking forward to seeing more 🧵🪡☕️👚👗👖❤️
Hi Joanne! Thanks so much! I love doing more than just garment sewing.. and I couldn’t agree more.. there are no way enough hours in the day for all the sewing I want to do! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!! Have a lovely week
Yea! I get a medal for watching to the end!❤ Actually I was transfixed. Very inspiring. Remember Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs? I think, Rachel, you made it to the top! Self actualization. Boom!
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful makes. I really enjoyed watching your video. You always inspire me and give me lots of good ideas.
I love this ❤ what a mammoth bumper lot of makes to look at and share. They were all so wonderful - I particularly love your dressing gown - it’s fabulous. ❤❤❤
Hi Rachael, such a lovely video and such variety. Would you consider doing a video just about tops you can make from 1 metre or less of fabric mostly to use up left overs. When you buy 3 m and only use 2 for your pattern etc. I am a bit larger than you and a lot older and prefer a bit of shoulder , upper arm cover but think there should be something I could do with all my bits. 😊Thanks so much.❤❤
"I basically lost the will to live..." Rachael you have such a sneaky sense of humor! You make me giggle all the time. Well, you did live through making the Frocktail's dress and it is a stunner! Your closet/wardrobe must be bursting at the seams with all of these lovely, lovely garments. Thank you for sharing.
😂 glad you enjoy the humour! It’s quite random 😂😂 my wardrobe is quite full, I’m not going to lie, so interspersing with quilts and craft projects is a good idea! Thanks so much for watching
Just fabulous makes! Loved seeing what you’ve made over the past few months. The quilts are gorgeous, it’s so big of you have them now as I know how long they take. You’ve been very productive xx
Loved this video, Rachael! Your taffeta & sequin gala dress is gorgeous! 💓 The Fringe dress is a favorite of mine, and yours is absolutely beautiful. 😘
Your makes are all amazing. I agree the summer sewing has slowed down in my house too! Too early for autumn makes though! Not ready for that yet! Thanks for showing all those makes Rachael...take care and have a good week. 😊
You amaze and inspire me Rachael. I made the Arden ants in linen 3 years ago but they were too short. I figured out how to lengthen them and hope to complete them tomorrow. I have 1more pair of pants to complete and my wardrobe is ready for our vacation! We leave in 1 week. Will you please share the video you used to make a bound v neck? I tried to do it with a hidden binding and it’s not great I had to hand stitch it down inside. Looks fine outside but the v isn’t great. Love your Frocktails dress. Absolutely gorgeous-Claudia
Hi Claudia! Thank you so much for the comment! Oooh happy vacation! How exciting!!! The neck binding is a great finish. Here’s the one I made a few years ago but I’m going to be releasing an updated/standalone one in the next few weeks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UTHri4SY0Ko.htmlsi=I1TUFncIOq-aDrLt
Super makes....your cuddle jumper looks fab .....might be just what I was looking for. Your quilts are wonderful too. Recently bought my first Jelly roll to do the standing tall challenge but have hidden it for a bit! Well done on getting all those makes under 35 mins!!
Thanks debs! The cuddle cardigan and sweater are some of my most work. Love them!!! Really great pattern! Th standing tall quilt is so pretty! Hope you get to it soon! I’m amazed I crammed that all in to one vlog 😂😂 thanks for watching
Pink flamingooooo ❤ even the lining is delightful 🎉 I love that you always do your neckline with a binding, such a great finish and would be so much more comfortable to wear. Sustainability galore as well for it gives the neckline more staying power 💪 The donny is such beautiful colours 😍 Emmy tee would be very cute with white 3/4 length of the Thea trousers 🤩 Loved all your makes lovely, thank you so much for taking the time to share ❤🎉
Loved watching your recap of the last few months, so many different items and variety. Do you ever make anything that fails or looks dreadful as even your 'challenges' end up looking stunning?! So good to see your beautiful Frocktail dress again 💚. Thanks for the video xx
Thanks Carole!! I think I’m lucky I havent had too many . I made a dress years ago that I really didn’t like. I think I wore it once. And I made a sagebrush top that I don’t think I ever wore 😂 but aside from that I can generally make things work. Great question though!! I just love that Frocktails dress… now I just need another occasion ☺️☺️ have a lovely weekend! Xx
Bumper Crop! What a great video and I love them all. Ohhh I wish I could wear your green sequin off the shoulder dress and look like you in it! Just gorgeous!
Another great video and you've really made some gorgeous things! I still love your robe and your frocktails dress the most! As for me I've been sewing up a storm but have had to slow down with my current make. It's a Burda pattern for a tunic and I think it includes every process known to man (or woman) So far I've done piping, binding and an invisible zip - then it's sew up the rest, gathered sleeves, buttons and buttonholes - eek!. But I'm persevering - slowly ❤
Hi Avril! Thank you so much! I literally wear that robe every day and I love my Frocktails dress, it’s very special! That burda pattern sounds TRICKY! Bet it’s going to be amazing and totally worth the effort! Thanks so much for watching and happy sewing!
Hahaha that’s a great question! I don’t think so 🤔 and he’s generally good at giving honest feedback. When he does like something though he does tell me which is nice 😂
LOVE what you're wearing! The Donny shirt is divine. Do the boys ever watch Duck Tales? Every time you mention Frock Tales, the theme song from Duck Tales plays in my head, substituting Frock for Duck (woo-ooh). Might be a bit retro for them to have seen. Also, I'll message you the address for my medal!
Oh my word!!!!! I absolutely loved DuckTails and you’ve just reminded me of a watch I had when I was about 7 or 8. It was white with ducktails on the face and I loved it!! I had totally forgotten about it until now 😂😂 I haven’t seen them in ages. I’ll have to find them and put them on for my boys!! 🥇 thanks as always
Thanks so much ❤ I really enjoyed seeing all your wonderful makes 😊. Can I just ask, with the Kielo wrap, did you just chop the pattern at the knee line or did you grade it narrower at the knee line? Hope this makes sense 😅. I've made a couple of long versions but would love to make a short one. Thanks
Hi Elaine! Glad you enjoyed it!! So my Kielo pattern has a knee length line, so I just cut it at that level. So the hard work is done for me. I know there is an older version of the pattern that may not have that. Did you buy your pattern recently?
@@TheFrenchSeams_vlog Thanks Rachael, I have that line on my pattern too. I wasn't sure if I didnt grade in from the flying squirrel wings would it look ok. My pattern is the one without the bust darts. I'm going to do like you and chop it at the knee. Thanks so much for the help 💗
@@TheFrenchSeams_vlog 😁 just in case you misunderstood the tone, I felt sorry for the dress being called frankendress when it’s so pretty! 😂😊. Thanks for replying 😊
@@joulsw3739 don’t be one bit sorry 🤩! I think it’s hilarious and the perfect description for a very hacked dress 😂😂😂 No worries at all ! Have a lovely weekend!
