Airbrush make-up is an entirely different formulation than "regular" foundations. It's watery and thin, because it need to be sprayed very finely by an airbrush. It had different ingredients than any other foundations, which make it dry almost instantly and looks and feels like you have nothing on your skin.
Also if you have oily skin or acne, sometimes just the use of the airbrush make-up can improve the quaity of your skin. I even applied airbrush makeup over one of my blemishes and do to it being free of oils, it actually helped make my blemish go away practically overnight.
So, now you can have perfect looking skin without all the weight or oily layers of regular foundation, by using these "makeup artist secrets" for putting airbrush foundation on!
These are my favorite airbrush foundations:
DINAIR:

They are water-based, paraben free and silicon free.
And they aren't expensive. One little bottle can last you forever too! And they come in the largest range of colors.
TEMPTU:

Temptu is a little pricier than Dinair, but it's because of the mechanics that come with the piece which works with the airbrush compressor.

I like the Dior Airflash because it's paraben free, it has amazing coverage, but it is pricier. This is a makeup artist favorite. But when you don't spray it all over your face from the can, it mast much longer just being sprayed onto a brush or sponge. I don't like that it doesn't have a very large color range.

This is a make-up artist favorite. It's unlike any other foundation palette made. The pigment concentration is not even comparable to any other foundations. It's free of mineral oil, lanolin, and petroleum.

Kandee, do you do makeup for regular folks, cause girl I have to say hands down YOU are on the top!!!! I live in Sac, Ca and would totally come to where u are to get that face beat!!lol. Promise no stalker! Just been watching you for years and when I say you handling as a single mom, it gave me hope that things can get better, and we as women have so much more strength than we know. When you shared about your dads passing I felt you 💯,because my mom passed 2 years ago at 50 from sudden cardiac arrest and I found her in my living room. Thanks Kandee I purchased the Luminess Air pro and I was an Makeup Artist for yrs and maybe it just me but I just could not get it looking right .I am a type A personaility and the colors were all wrong. Also replacements are very expensive so thanks for the D one. I am a medium but I need an Olive ,yellow base I'm blonde eyes blue but I do have a third of American Indian in me so I tan really well and you wouldn't think me being a Natural Blonde/ I gave Glamour Shots a hard time because I kept telling them I will need a Yellow base or Olive and they would not believe me. So after much stress there's not mine I was found a match Of Joe Blasco"s Olive beige 3 color. Thats what they use at places even photo sets due to it's highly pigmented and it covers so well and you don't have to use a ton of product. You are a doll. Keep doing your video's You have a very good Aura around you. I can see you love what you do. I loved you as Marilyn. So have a wonderful fall. I just found you on you tube.xo

I've heard that a regular air brush compressor and gun (the one's people use to air brush shirts and such) is WAY better quality and cheaper. You can use whichever airbrush makeup you prefer with them.

oh, you are going to love this, and the weird part is I had a blemish and afeer a day with the dinair on it, it actually got better! Make sure you shake it reaaly well and if you don't have a good brush, you can put it on with your fingers too! huge hugs beautiful!

you could, but duo fiber makes sure you get the lightest coverage possible, so you might have to do 2 rounds to get the coverage you want, and stippling will always give a "stippled", sort of spotty effect. It's better than nothing though! Try using the side of the brush and just patting it on, like the sides of the bristles not the tips! xoxoxo

you just have to set any cream product with powder, or it will crease, and I use a primer to help! Make-up is like building a cake, you need a base, a layer of pigment, and you need to set the pigment (cream foundation or concealer) or your face will crease and not last long! xo

yeah, the heavy oils in cream foundation sit above the makeup and accentuate creases! This doesn't do that at all! I look younger with this on! That's why I love it! hee hee

I agree with Kandee. I used to have severe acne. I switched to Dinair Airbrush Makeup... and... OMG!! I love it! It feels super light and never broke me out. There concealer is awesome too! Recommend to everyone.

I wish there was, but I've never used anything like the VK palettefrom RCMA, it's formulated with almost 50% more pigment that even pro make-up and more than theatrical, but it's free of mineral oils! I love this stuff!

This video changed my makeup life! I only use airbrush foundation. I used to be so self conscious because I could never find a foundation that matched my skin tone. With this it is super easy to mix the foundations to get a perfect match. I have Dior, Sephora, Pür, and Dinair. I don't want to hassle with the Temptu. I LOVE AIRBRUSH MAKEUP!! Thanks.

yes, the difference it the beauty blender has a special "recipe" for their sponge, the cheaper "copycat" ones aren't made of the same material, so they probably fall apart faster! I'll do a video on cleaning the Beauty Blender! My friend Rea is the one who invented the Beauty Blender, she's a makeup artist too!

you can get sample packs from Dinair of 5 foundations, but they last forever! I have the Medium pack, that I use on myself if that help compare and I've worn NW30 too!

no, that's the reason airbrush makeup is used for High Definition filming, why celebrities and bride's request it on their wedding day, because it doesn't look like you have makeup on, and it's just flawless looking! It dries on the skin, instead of being a layer of oils and creams on top like regular foundations.

I have tried some airbrush foundations but I have not been impressed for the face. I think they are good if you are doing body makeup. But all the ones I've seen and many complain about it, they are really orangey or very pink.

oh sure, you need more than a BB cream, a BB cream is fine for average skin, but if you have large pores you need a pore minimizer, like a pore minimizing primer. You can also use my lemon sugar scrub video, which will help, and make sure you wash your face off from any make-up at night so it won't keep the pored enlarged from having make-up and dirt settle into the pores at night while you're sleeping! xoxox

Just make sure your kabuki brush is not made of animal hair. All liquids should be applied won the skin with synthetic brushes, which will also help prevent bacteria growth too. Brushes designed for liquids are all made out of synthetic material. So your skin will look better from no break-outs too as a bonus! xo

you'll know by smelling it sometimes, if you get it wet and it smells like a wet dog, it's an animal hair brush! If it smells like nothing or "barbie doll hair" it's synthetic! xo

oh yes and you can use a good primer designed to minimize pores and if you finish it with Model in A Bottle finishing spray, it will last in humid weather like that in Asia! I lived in Hong Kong and Taipei when I was a teenager for a little while and I know hoe humid it can be there! It felt like laundry never dried! ha ha ah

I absolutely love your hair!!! I think it makes you look a lot younger. People aren't going to like that I said this but I never liked the hair you used to have. It is your hair and if you like it either way (long or short, black or blonde) that's cool. but as a compliment, I like this A LOT better!

I think it's still heavy compared to these that are just liquid. They can look great, but not as good as the airbrush foundations for sure!

I love to use Smashbox CC Cream as a foundation for special occasions only. I use a stippling brush and then Marilyn Monroe perfecting powder by Physicians Formula ( which they dont make anymore, but any translucent, mildly highlighting powder will do. ) Smashbox is super expensive so I have to use it sparingly. Hi, try to use soap bar instead of the liquid one. Damp your BB and foam it using the soap bar, leave it for 10 or more minutes and then rinse, it would rinse easier and cleanse better without stressing the sponge too much.

I love your videos and you are amazing. Your tutorials are amazing, but the one thing I would love to see is more drugstore make up tutorials. I have purchased high end make up and still love them, but Its getting to the point where there is no way I can afford to continue to do that! Walgreens is becoming my go-to make up store, and I'm totally fine with that. I would love to see how to achieve a high-end flawless or 'airbrush' face with all drugstore products!

Ive had acne for a year now. after watching this I ordered DINAIR off Ebay and I see a huge difference in my skin b/c its water based and dry my skin isn't oily thru the day and that's A BIG DEAL CONSIDERING NO OTHER FOUNDATION lasts through a 12 hr day at the salon hair don't stick to my face anymore!! lol thank you for ur video im playing around w different makeup for my wedding in November

Anything that is Synthetic! No animal hair brushes, and you want to pat it on, not brush it on, or it will leave stroke marks! So any brush with long, thick bristles!
