It's FINALLY HERE!!! A new makeup artist vlog!! I am currently in my off-season so I decided to include a realistic week of what I do when I'm not actively working weddings. This may also help artist that experience slow periods and what you can do to stay busy while also helping your business :)

Hi Julie! Can't believe I missed this vlog. Love seeing your pups, as always. Your clients' looks were stunning! Your house is very nice. Hope you are well and enjoying school. I went to see the new Saks Fifth Ave in Beverly Hills yesterday, I bought some makeup goodies and I ran into a friend at the Cle de Peau counter. He complimented my skin and makeup. He also became an Esthetician and wants me to come back for a facial, I said "deal" :)

Aww I know! I did this vlog because I wanted to update and missed making the vlogs myself :) While I'm in school though, I am not taking on very many appointments/weddings so there really isn't any makeup artist content I can vlog unfortunately! Thank you so much for still watching my other videos :) It doesn't go unnoticed!

Aww thanks so much I’m glad you’ve been enjoying them! Check with your state board to make sure you don’t need a license to practice as a makeup artist. My state required it which is why I’m in school now :)

I love your positive energy ❤ thanks for sharing your journey with us. I was wondering, is freelance makeup more challenging if you're introverted? I've always loved the idea of makeup artistry but I'm more on the quiet side so I figured it could be harder to gain clients. Thanks again for your inspiration 😍

Aww thank you so much! I am actually an introvert myself. You can definitely have success as a makeup artist, but you will naturally have to put in a little more effort socially than extroverts. It's also important to know your limits since introverts tend to experience burnout a lot quicker.

I am trying to get more of a bridal clientele, so my recent model calls are basic my friends dressed up as brides - even if it's just a top that really looks bridal.

How do you do a model call ? I wanna say how to reach to call a model and a photographer and all that stuff? I m a make-up artist in Chicago amd right now in low season i wanna do something like this.

I usually just reach out to prior directly on Instagram or post about it on your stories or personal Facebook page :) There’s no official way to do it necessarily … it’s however formal or informal you want to make it!
