Have taken a break from coin ring making (doing a lot of woodworking), but need to make a ring for a family member. Of course, the first place I go to for a refresher course is your videos. I have been watching your videos for a honestly a long time. I have always wanted a coin ring. My wife got me a morgan ring for this past xmas. Well I was hooked, bought some tools and I just made my first ring tonight!! It fits, it doesn't wobble on the table, I have a little bit of damage from the dyes but only a little, and it fits!! I"m so pumped dude, I love it, thanks for sharing all this information that you do!!!!

One things for sure I think the polished inside might make the ring a little more comfortable though you are taking off more material.

Beautiful rings...to anyone who aspires to try this. Note: its impossible without a drill press. Quarters are doable, half dollars are difficult, but Morgans are impossible without that press.

Q: what do you think about using a stone tumbler (polisher) to clean annealed rings? Thanks in advance for your opinion.

Both are beautiful. I learn something new every time you show your process. For example it didn't bother you at all that the initial bend went "wrong" on both ( a bit of a wobble ) as that issue was sorted by putting them through the Swedish wrap. I suppose it comes down to the person. A person who likes to show and tell will want the detail on the inside. "Yes...this really was a coin...".

I'd like some ear rings made from Roman silver coins. I wonder what that would cost.
