Making a 1940s Shirtdress from a Novelty Print Fabric

Though rather uncommon, dresses from the mid to late 1940's were sometimes patterned in everything from florals to parachutes to accordions. So when I stumbled upon this cotton voile fabric printed with aesthetically-colored and extremely modern plastic bags, I knew it had to become a mid-40s shirtdress!
The pattern I used was partially self-drafted, the bodice being made from my block pattern and the other pieces coming from various other sewing patterns in my collection.
