another method wash cells 3x, then on other tube put for example 500 microliters of saline then computed 5% is 500 x .05 where 500 is saline and .05 is 5% pure washed red cells so 25 microliters =5% red cell suspension.

I usually like to compare the suspension to the color of fruit punch. I have my lab practical tomorrow and this was a very helpful video.

hello i have a questions 1. Why need to have 5% cell suspension? 2. What is the purpose 3. Different between use whole blood and 5% cells suspension

what if commercially prepared cell suspension is not available to compare with?

you need you buy one, then you can make one to keep it available for the next suspension

im sorry i didn't understand well but why is there are 3 pairs of tube?

Green Iris I believe there are a total of 3 different concentrations (just right, too heavy, and too light). Each suspension was tested with both anti-A (blue reagent) and anti-B (yellow reagent).

If this was a real patient workup, there would only be 2 tubes for the forward type.
