Get jeweler's saw. It is an ultra fine coping saw and makes short work of cutting in tight spaces. Since getting one I haven't killed any more sets of snippers.
Now datz a propah Koptah! I like to think that Dave has modelled his koptah after his favourite alien crustacean, "Its wotz da oomies call a Lobstah, But ize made it outta DAKKA!!!! Waaaaaagghhh".
Looking forward to the upcoming lean, mean, and green series! For vehicle ideas, maybe an ork dune buggy or water craft? I always think orks would be the beat at any hostile planet since they are the walking examples of "Where there is will, there is a way". Great job sir!
I’d like to see some kind of junked Ork vehicle that the Gloomspite Gitz have managed to get hold of and make their own. Maybe some kind of tank with no engine being pulled along by squigs like a sleigh.
Observation: next time, if you plan to take the pilot out, take him out before gluing the two halfs of the kopta body together. Much less width to cut through at a time.
Army painter said the metallics are only 2 tone, not 3 like the standard Speedpaints. Should be easy enough to drybrush on some metallic to add a quick highlight though.
Love your work mate. New to Warhammer myself and I just got a 65 Corvette stingray which is in 1/18 scale. Plans to convert it to an ork battle blitzer or something, would love any thought or to see you do something similar. Cheerio
I have one of those optivisors and can say yeah they work pretty good for tiny detail work...BUT...you got to get used to working with them on (at least this has been my experience it took me a few sessions to get used to the magnification difference) after that though tiny parts and photo etch gets so much easier to do without the eye strain... As for an idea how bout a orky bike/tank (open cockpit style with the gun on the side)but here is the kicker the gun should be a 10 to 12 inches long and a 1/2 to 3/4 diameter barrel...is it dorky sounding?... Nah, its orky never to much dakka
Yeah I need to try something otherwise I have to hold the miniature about 3 inches from my eyes which kinda makes it difficult to video then lol, haha a mega gun, thats why I love orks, you can do anything you want and then its still not orky enuff 🙂
