Making A Cat House For Two - using scraps of wood 

Great project. I like people that love cats.

Love this! I’m currently paying a young architect student to make me a two story, insulated, outside cat house for the strays I care for. Wisconsin winters are harsh and I hate thinking of these kids (every stray 🥺) out in the cold. I’m pretty impressed already with this guy! He drew up a very nice looking plan and printed it out on a computer. I’m super excited to see what he comes up with!

This is just about my fave cat house! My indoor kitties desperately need one that wont come apart after a few months and my outdoors feral cats could really use this. But I'd need just about everything you guys have, tools, space, etc etc. And I've none of those things. ..oh well

oh i find that bandsaw curious, looks like fun to work with that. I always seem to have a tendency to overcorrect or push too hard with the jigsaw, even with a guide. Quite annoying when your head is full of ideas and plans to make beautiful hedgehog, bird and cat houses, but at the end of the day they all look like Frankenstein houses, without 1 straight cut or corner. 🐈🦔🐦🕊🦉🦇🐈‍⬛

Real men love cats! Could you do another video making a similar, two-cat, ~insulated~ house for outdoor winter use for extremely cold climates? I've seen insulation that comes pre-clad in mylar or some kind of encasing so you can just staple it to the interior walls, ceiling, and floor. Also, it would be good to know how to safely heat the inside of the enclosure. Do you mount some runners to the bottom of the house to elevate it off the ground so that the house doesn't absorb the super-cold from the ground? Would the top be sloped and shingled to fend off rain and snow? Could you make an additional compartment off the main floor for a solarium using clear corrugated material? So, the house would be an L shape with a second floor like your is in this video? Could you make weighted, clear, plastic flaps for the doors and put a plexiglass insert into the window on the second floor? Finally, could you make it so you can open the roof or sides of enclosure to get the cats out if need be?

You can just use a sterilite plastic tote container with a door cut into it. Its light enough to move effortlessly and always comes clean when you spray it down which cant be said for mdf or wood. So theres no added practicality to making a small animal shelter out of anything else. Throw a cinder block over your plastic house for when the wind picks up and throw some hay in it. You can pick this up, rake the surroundings, spray the house off, add new hay, and set it back down in less than 5 minutes.

This is totally awesome! Sadly i don't have any tools to make anything. Except for what fits in a drawer. Maybe if I have a shed one day..

Hi today I wanted to build a wooden grid. The overall dimension was 18 inch by 10 inch. I ripped few 18 long inch of 2x4 into 1/4 thickness lamella. I cut few of these lamelle to 1 1/2 long and use them to separate each full lamella by 2 of these short one . I used wood glue and applied clamp. It become out of control because everything want to escape the clamp.
