This is such a fun idea! I love how you put together different skills in this project :) but just a note! The noodle-like texture is not a specific feature of that yarn, it's the kind of texture that knitted yarn gets when the garment gets wet the first time... so if you made a hank out of the yarn and put it in water it would relax again and return to it's original, smooth texture! It's important to keep this in mind when you repurpose yarn from older projects because it can dramatically change the look of the garment after blocking (you could get holes, uneven stitches/tension, etc...), I only tell you bc of experience and I don't want anyone to be heartbroken as I was when I realized I had to re-knit the same sweater a third time 😂

Yes!! I know what you mean!! Which us why I did a bit of research with the label I have. It seems like the original yarn comes with the kinky texture. www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/columbia-minerva-nantuck-brushed So i determined that it’s the original texture of the yarn and shouldn’t change too much after a wash. I’ll keep you updated hehehehe ✨

@@gwenheng oh that's really nice!! I'm curious about the final texture then 🤔 sorry anyway, I didn't want to say you don't know what you're doing, it's just a lesson I had to learn the hard way so I try too hard to pass it on 😭
