Hi Carl ... thanks for the note, glad you looked at where the finished product goes, a very important part of woodworking ... great comment buddy, thanks
Hi Roland, yes I too hope it doesn't crack, but it was very, very dry and I have had good luck with this technique so ... we'll see how it works out :)
A smashing video Colin, I have been a subscriber for quite a while now and I really enjoy your projects, including the beginners series. Although I have one small complaint....I wish there was more! Seriously, I understand that there is alot of work goes into your films including editing etc. Thanks for posting. N.
Hi Neil ... thanks for the kind words and the feedback. To be honest, there is a LOT of work that goes into these, even the 5 minute ones take hours and hours before they are ready for uploading ... but I am getting faster, so maybe I will get to a point where I can make them a bit quicker :) Thanks buddy ... great to have you with us Colin
Wow amazing work!!! I feel a kind of ashamed that i didnt know it took that much work to create a board. I thought you would just take a long board and smooth it down; not cut up different pieces and form it together! Impressive!
Hi, Collin! Here, in my country, the tung oil is very expensive! Is the same thing, for food projects like this, the lineum oil? You really make great videos.! Have you made some video about oils, finishing etc.? God Bless you all!
I am sorry if this has been asked--can you please tell me what the name of the doweling jig is that you use in this video--and I love your work--you are the BEST
Someone asked me to build one so I'm doing some research. So Tung Oil is food safe? And what stain did you use? I thought Mineral Oil was about the safest to use. Nice work as always.
+Paul St George Hi Paul, I would check the Tung Oil first, you never know with some commercial versions what else they might be adding, Mineral Oil should be fine and I often use Dyes now rather than stains, but on cutting boards and such I don't use any coloring unless it's just for display.
muy buenos sus proyectos una sugerencia para los que no dominan el idioma ingles poner subtitulos -cc-en español aunque no sea textual para comprender mejor sus consejos y tecnicas felicitaciones muy bueno su canal
lol .... I am glad you asked that Jim because there are probably countless others who are wondering the same thing ... it's a band saw blade from my little 12" band saw. I am sorry it isn't something more interesting than than that :) Thanks buddy
Do you know how much one of these would cost in materials? How about if you made it for me? Lol I want one so badly but I hate to buy stuff like this from large retailers, they never put the love into it
Why Would anyone ever need a board that big of a size,? Just to roll out Dough etc.? That size is way excessive, Even Professional Bakers,Do not use a board of that size etc.
