Thanks for watching! This was super challenging for us but we LOVE the results. Don't be afraid to challenge yourself! If you want to join our community on Facebook and/or Discord, there are links in the description!
This turned out SO cool! Hard to believe the house is just cardboard! It's looks so great! The hot glue tombstones were a great idea too! Would dig to see more dioramas in the future!
That hot glue tombstone idea blew my mind! It makes so much sense, but I never thought to use hot glue in those silicone molds. Wayyy cheaper than resin!
i JUST finished watching your haunted doll house makeover! perfect timing! that one was sooo incredible, can’t wait to see this one!!!! been binging you guys, thanks for putting and keeping us in the spooky season spirit 👻
You two are unbelievable. Your craftsmanship is 10/10. This project, and how it demonstrates that something lovely and complete can be made from a pile of random objects goes a long way to demonstrate the true sprit of Halloween! The icing on the cake was using the mailer box!
Don't worry about bubbles in your window glass. Back when this cottage was built, probably 100-150 years ago maybe even longer, the glass would have had a few bubbles in because it was all hand made.
For me You two, you have won this challenge with a 10+. Because you have used every part of the box and his included stuff. Your challenger picked only the past he could use.
Oh wow! I love this! Its so cute. Yes more of this. I was trying to think of a way to make a stone like urn you normally put a small tree or flowers in on your porch in front of your house. But have a human head coming out and dead flowers, branches, succulents, ivy growing out too...ideas?
The use of the foil ball for texture on the foam insulation was great. It takes me back a few years to using a tealight candle, and metal sculpting tools to do the same. Well done.
Aaaah! It turned out so well! I love these videos they're so inspiring! I can't wait to try some stuff out with the stuff I have lying around at home. I'd be so keen to see more of these projects with your other content.
I loved this video! Seeing the brainstorming process the two of you went through was great. Have seen the finished image on the RU-vid page I did not expect the cardboard build. Great surprise for me.
Amazing! You guys continuously surprise me with your creativity. I had no idea you could make molds with hot glue and those window panes…outstanding. Can’t wait to try some of this out!
Love it! That was a lot of work, but worth it. And “YES please” to your question of more dioramas. Shadow boxes and Book Nooks too! I love those little magical worlds. Thanks for sharing your ideas and talent
“We’re going to make a haunted house.” Because of course you are, you’re the Wicked Makers! Loved that you used the actual cardboard box to great effect!
You guys remind me of a team building exercise I had to do a few years back. The teams had to figure out how to make a ping pong ball not roll away from a height. I figured out how to use tape on the ball and we won. It’s fun to be given random stuff and figure out how to turn it into something else. I’m constantly amazed at your creativity. I’ll be going to the other channel to see what he did with the stuff you sent him. I enjoy seeing the miniature dioramas so keep em coming!
Wow! As always, you two didn't skip any details and made something that looks incredible! I also think you lead the video with one of the best pieces of advice for artists and it's sometimes best to sleep on an idea!
So very cool... makes me want to make one... I have a cardboard box... uh... on second thought, that was a lot of work, but it is soooo cool. I like the witch walking past that window... so very creative you guys!
The pc of wood you are calling a Stair Topper is called a Finial. It goes on end of a curtain rod currently like the one you have there. They did use them on the apex of roof, canopy, or on the top newel post. Like you are thinking of. It looks great, love the lighting.
These videos have been absolutely inspiring! Not just on ideas, but materials too as so much of this was inexpensive - XPS foam is relatively very pricey in the UK, as are foam pumpkins as people here just aren't quite into Halloween as much as they are in the states. BUT noodles, sponges, cardboard etc giving me ideas.
Your chimney could have a black light shining up chimney and a ghostly cut piece of lightest weight cloth lightly sprayed with glow in the dark coloring you could have tiny bottles of tonic water which glows blue green along the windowsills or in a cart as if poison was being distributed or drinking poison bottles near skeletons who consumed it..also while that witch spins inside the house you could have a thin wire with a broom riding witch circling overhead you could put a cold mist fogger at doorstep then shine a black light over the mist ...really cool looking ...
I love your attention to detail. Great video. At least you didn’t have the time frame to complete your haunted house like on Chopped. I also love how the two of you do things by trial and error. 👍🏼😊
Great job you 2. I've seen DIY using jars or foam in mini house decor making. I could see maybe some vines off the roof, and a cauldron with dry ice in the future.
This was AWESOME! I LOOOOVE Halloween and I LOOOOOOVE haunted houses/witches houses!!! Would LOVE to see a 6 foot tall, multi story haunted house.....with moving figures, ghosts, goblins, witches, black cats, and all that other fun stuff!!!
Y’all. I love you so much. You’re so inspiring and this was the epitome of how good you are at taking something from “yeah, it’s a thing” to “holy cow, that’s awesome!”
@@SchardtCinematic. I found the mold that they used at Michaels, Halloween candy mold area. It was $5.99 - 30% off. I got the last one at my local store.
This was an awesome video! It was genius thinking of using the shipping box as the house! It doesn’t even look like cardboard at the end! You might of tried to salvage 1-2 gummy bears, mod podge them into gummy bear zombies, because technically you failed the challenge by not using them. Anyway, the witch reminds me of what the kid did in Home Alone. That was cool and I love the little ghost coming out the chimney! Thanks for sharing
This reminded me of Esme Weatherwax's cottage she's a witch from the terry Pratchett disc world series. While her two other witch friends had more unique tastes, Esme had a traditional witch vibe. This creation makes me think it's Hogswatch night, so Esme is in her cottage practicing spells, maybe making tea at the same time while upstairs she's got a nice haunting fire going in the fireplace in her bed room.
Late to this video but i would LOVE to see more miniature stuff from you guys!! This turned out incredible :D I've been on a huge kick of watching people create miniature houses and rooms, it would be so cool to see you guys create something from a video game! Like a Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria or one of the rooms from Poppy Playtime
What a fun idea this was. You all did such a great job with the challenge and honestly I think this little house project is one of your best creations yet. Love the creativity. 👻👍
BEAUTIFUL!!! you guys NEVER fail to impress me. our family is BIG on halloween and love going all out when we can. I have been binging your videos and I have gotten SO SO SO much inspiration! thank you for doing what you do and making me love halloween even more!!
Hey! Ya'll do everything amazing. I appreciate everything ya'll do. I think I finally watched every video you have made and posted. All I have to say is keep up the fantastic work.....keep on keeping on
i discovered your channel last year and have been so inspired ever since! i loved this video as it seems like a great family project for Halloween! our project so far this year we have skeleton spiders and we have added flowers and jeweled spiders to give it a unique look.
@@WickedMakers Have you seen the zombie containment unit? That was somerhing i wanted to make. I also wanted to make a digital pupet that csn be controled with a controller and be displayed on screen that will be combined with a magic mirror. With a camera in the frame so the puppeteer can see who comes close and interact with who is in front of it. I'm working on that puppet and controls!
I always wanted a Halloween village but I dont like the stuff you can buy. After watching this I am for sure going to have to0 make my own. This is awesome!
I'd like to see you tackle the building of a hauted house miniature (diorama) that is to scale with 6 - 7 inch action figures like Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers...maybe do an homage to all the famous movie boogiemen?
