Making a Dovetail Template 

In this video I go through the process of making a dovetail template according to the plans on the website commonwoodwork....
It works great and is simple to make using hand tools only. I love learning how to make my own shop tools and templates and this was a fun one. Every project is a learning experience. Especially when it comes to using the planes and squaring up all the wood. Now I get to learn how to cut dovetails. And straight lines... and then not break the pins off... or the tails... or have any gaps. lol
