I thought it would be a fun and different project to create a dragons egg on the pottery wheel. If you make pottery or just curious how its made you'll find out how its made and my take on the different steps of the process. I hope you enjoy

Very nice work! I need to have a Pitcher made in the shape of an egg, size is 34 inches by 45 inches tall. Do you think that's posable for you to make?

Technically yes, I don't think their is much I couldn't do without enough time and effort. It would need to be over 50 x 39 to account for shrinkage and I don't have a kiln large enough. I suppose if you have 20 or 30 grand I could make one for you.

@@RedCirclePottery Why would it cost $20,000 or $30,000 to make? Are you including the price to build or buy a kiln for the project? In your opinion would something like this be better to have a mold made to make about one hundred?

Thanks, Im about 96% certain it was 5lbs. I usually either throw 3lb or 5lb pieces, and for some reason never 4lb.

I have a plan for it at its currently sitting on the shelf waiting to get glazed and fired in the reduction kiln. That might be after the holidays when we have enough pots to fire. Sorry its been such a wait.
