@@scrambl1ng I think the point is that nothing is being 'made'. Design, fabrication, and assembly are all crucial elements of producing. Assembly of the work other people do on the first 2 categories and calling yourself a producer is somewhat arrogant. I can easily put together someone else's work no differently than I can put together an IKEA table. Of course, the goal of making something that sells, and making something that is a reflection of your soul is what separates mannequins from artists. The former is easy. To an artist, the latter is impossible.
Appreciate the arrangement man, could be even more dope with more original sounds! What you develop yourself will usually flow better together than any sample pack!
Bruh at this point you could just throw the loops in audacity and assemble the track there… As a beginner producer, i can say it feels so much better when I create a cool soundig bass or sub myself, i feel a lot prouder of my track afterwards plus I actually develop my production skills by doing so..
I don’t think there’s a piano roll in audacity. Even then how do you modulate the oscillator in serum if you are using audacity? I don’t think you can track adjustments in audacity either
@@midwestvenus3557he’s saying that the way the person in the video is making the song he could just use audacity because of the use of samples. He said that he feels better making his own stuff but didn’t mention that he used audacity
it’s great you’re expanding your skills as a beginner producer but a lot of us (grammy winning prods incl) incorporate sample banks to speed up our workflow. no point labouring for hours to design the “perfect sound” if the perfect sound is already available from a library in which you already paid for the royalties
@@lukehanson6077why use something someone else made because at that point it’s not even your music anymore you’re just putting together shit someone else made for you

You can get Serum through Splice. They offer a pretty cheap rent-to-own package which is dope. General BPMs are 140, 145, and 150bpm depending on the style of Dubstep We offer free ones in our discord but obviously the best stuff is in the paid packs :)
@@aggjohnson8488 Controversy over her songs being a bit *too* similar to sample pack demos. She probably assembled said samples the same way this video suggests you do.
The one thing that makes you stand out in this genre is sound design, dont be like this guy and get stuck being just another one of those "dubstep producers"
So i need to pay money for cheap sounding sounds that i can probably make in about 2 minutes w vital? Yeah no, sorry i don't think anyone with all of their braincells intact will fall for this scam.
I don't like over-using presets and samples, if you want to actually get good, you gotta learn sound design at some point and rely less on presets and samples.
