you have the patience of a saint. i will never understand why samsung decided to reinvent the wheel, but take it back in time, ultimately taking away capabilities that we once had with microsoft word. i feel its safe to say that I will never get another one ever in life. This is just another example of what is 90 times easier in microsoft word than it is in google docs. Don't get me started on google slides vs ppt, and google sheets vs excel.
Thanks so much for this. I have tried other options like using a photo of a document as the background that students can type on top of.... so many issues with that! This should work beautifully! I surely do appreciate this.
Thank you so much Happy to help :) I'm currently in the process of making the one for inserting slides into the doc. We did post a video about inserting data tables and graphs into a google doc.
Thanks! When I make a 1x1 table so its just a cell students can enter long form answers into, the text extends out of the cell. How do keep the text within the cell?
Thanks for this video. Another topic: a script would automatically save a copy for each student and email it accordingly. Can you show us how to add script of a "send button"?
At this point in time I don't think that is possible. However if you move the boxes to fit the correct answers for the words it won't mess with your formatting and as long as you are either assigning the doc or force copy sharing then you will always have your original copy saved and unedited by students. I hope this helps!
very helpful, thank you. just wondering if you have yes and no answers how to make it checkmark, and also phone numbers and birthdays with auto dashes?
When you click on share you can add their email and change the setting next to them from view to edit if they already have it shared with them still click on the share button on the doc you will see their email and change it from view to edit. Hope this helps thanks for reaching out!
To be honest I haven't messed around with it enough to know but I just showed what I had learned and what was working and going to improve and update as I go.
Currently I don't know if you can. As with a google doc you can allow full editing or none. If there is an in-between when I learn it I will post a video.
@@RELenders Thank you. Ummm you could try using a google form which they could submit each question. Which it would allow them to answer one question at a time.
You could setup a google form to do that if you want it would take some time but it could work. If you are looking to try and make it not shift or move the doc then try making the table cell bigger it will allow better spacing and you can change its settings to wrap around text if you wanted
Great Question! Depending on how you are sending the doc out. You can have different answers, but if you are sending just one doc out you are go to file and version history it will show you who has typed what. Hope this helps I can make a video to show how it works.
Hi there you may need to go into the settings of the document different schools can have different share setting just set it to that anyone with a link can edit. Hope this helps. If not please message me back so that I can further assist.
I created a fillable form for our students to use if they need a waiver to schedule certain classes. I want to post the link to the document on our website to include it in our digital forms. Will the students be able to fill in the form by clicking on the link? Or will it have to be shared individually for them to be able to fill it in?
When you say form do you mean google form or did you make a form in a google doc? If its a google form you would just hit the share button and it will track the data for you as it is filled out and submitted, but if its a google doc there are a few steps you would have to take.
@@BK_Presentations Yes. We are currently starting to schedule students for classes next year and using digital docs. I want to add the waiver doc in our scheduling folder on the webpage for students who may need it. Would copying the link to the webpage work?
@@Michellew361 yes pasting the link would work, but does each student need there own copy because if you are posting it on a website you will want to maybe have it be made for a force copy and then have them share it with you
