The levels could also use checkpoints to respawn from, like one of those animator tables where Oswald could leap out of the paper on it and continue from the last one he touched. Pitfalls should be added too that Oswald/Mickey would have to leap over or avoid

Whenever you collect an ink drop it could play a reversed version of the animation when you lose a heart so it’s re filling up with ink

I love how this is coming along! The effort you’ve put into this is really paying off. Just a suggestion, but it would be kinda cool if you could add some slightly blurry stuff in the foreground, like you see in the cartoons and in cuphead.

In the background for the war level (first level), what if you had other animals holding weapons as they march/prepare for battle? And maybe when you get to a specific part of the first level, war would start to unfold?
