having something like this in my workspace would be amazing, but i think i'd not get much work done because i'd be constantly just watching the plants!
If you add ceramic coating to the inside of the glass, you'll have a clearer view through the glass at all times. It will only need to be re-applied every 6-12 months, depending.
Great build! I was wondering if it wouldn't be better to have the misting system to create mist only at the vegetation level since it wouldn't create water droplets in the glass.
Very beautiful end result! However, I want to know why you used soil and sand when you could have just used lava rocks and lava gravel since moss and ferns grow well in lava rocks alone. Also, why did you you use a misting system that gets the glass wet when it seems a fogger would have watered it well without the wet glass.
Boy I hope they have an RO system hooked up to their mister, otherwise that is going to look terrible in no time with mineral stains... yup, I've made that mistake once.
This is my concern as well. Hard water leaves calcium deposits. You would need a squeegee with a long handle so not to step on the scape and leave footprints. That being said, it is beautiful. I'd like to see a 1 year update.
@@JustAnotherAsianGuy2 If they want it inside, then they can have it inside. Whether they like it or not is up to them, not you. You can not judge when you have no participation in this whatsoever and most likely have no experience building terrariums that big, much less outside. You can have a moss garden outside, but conditions are different. They are not making the garden for themselves, meaning they will not be able to provide the care it needs for outside. You can control most of the variables inside, meaning the client will have an easier time maintaining it. Of course you can do it outside, but it’s not optimal. Compare it to a homeless person, a homeless person can live outside for the rest of their life, but is it healthy? No. A terrarium like that would have an even harder time because they can not move by themselves and have to rely on someone to take care of them (exaggerated for the purpose of understanding). Why do you feel the need to critique when you can’t see through the flaws of your own logic?
