That is a great video I have to build something almost identical and have the same concrete fence posts so this is amazing step by step for my project. Thanks for posting this!!
This is by far the best video I've seen showing the process. I've watched parts 1 and 2 twice. I need a lean-to and have been getting ridiculous quotes but might actually try it myself after watching these
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Thaddeus Jad i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Great video - congratulations on a fine video and great roof. Picked up some handy tips for rafter angle measuring - have a 7m x 3m metre lean to to build shortly. Part 2 watching next ;-)
Thanks for sharing this really helpful video. I am keen to have a lean-to built at the side of our house and this has given me some ideas that I think I can use.
Very professional and explained perfectly. I will be doing something similar very soon and hope it turns out as well as yours. The only part I will not be doing is applying the lead flashing. Any suggestions what I can do as an alternative. Thanks.
Thank you for the brilliant video. However, I have some concerns about using the neighbour's fence, am I allowed to use their fence as part of the walk-way/shed please? Thank you very much for your time.
Great job! I want to build a similar one. I am preparing a purchase list, while for the roof metal bar, i can't find one with rubber seal. Could you please share the link where you bought it? Thanks.
I'm thinking of building something similar at the side of my house. The problem I have is that I will be using clear plastic sheeting as the roof. However there's a black pipe coming down the side of the house. When i put the plastic sheeting around the pipe. What's the best way to make it water tight?
Great videos and well explained 👍 can I ask is the roof noisy from inside the house. Trying to imagine if I did one the same and sleeping directly over it 🤔
I know this is an old video but it popped up when I was watching something else. Check your local Council. This could need planning permission and if it’s a party wall, you will need your neighbours permission. Just because it’s your house and your fence it doesn’t mean you can do what you want.
Question about drilling into the concrete posts. Have you had any adverse effects i.e. cracking or fixings loosening from the wind and elements over time? I'm thinking of doing the same thing instead of sinking more posts into the ground right against my fence. Great vid btw👍
Permitted development rights allow a max height of 2.5m within 2m of a boundary.. so long as the structure doesn't project forward of the principal elevation of the property.. Check out the gov planning portal.... It's worth checking with your local planning authority because some authorities have exclusions which prohibits this kind of development..
