Making a Leather Mason Jar Sleeve
Before we even make a pattern on paper, we make a quick sample with scrap leather. For this video we show how we do just that with a fun design out of our old sketchbooks - a mason jar sleeve with a handle!
You'll kind of see our process while making this leather mason jar sleeve sample. We do a lot of measuring right on the jar with pencil on leather, form fitting the leather to the mason jar for a perfect fit. Once this piece is fully made, we'll take it back apart and make a pattern from it on the computer, adjusting it and making a few small changes. Then we'll polish up the pattern and it'll be ready to go!
