I know this is an older video by now, but Imma say it anyway - the item frames will work if the shelves are carpets rather than trapdoors. I've seen other "supermarket" style builds that do that and it works fine for them. In case anyone was wondering.

A good way to add an actual alarm system is to place the shulker box inside a sort of scanner. You can add a easy sorting system that looks for an verification item that is added once you pay. If you don't scan it, it's gonna alarm, and if you didn't pay, you're also gonna activate the alarm as there's no verification item. Add a really strange name, and copying it is gonna be near impossible. And since your paycheck is taken for verification, you can't take it with you without triggering the alarm.

Yes, In the U.S., we have Express checkout, witch has the conveyer an d self checkout witch is like a little scanner and scale. I personally like self checkout better because it goes quicker. Also, we call Trolleys shopping carts

We have conveyor belts in stores here in Norway, but we also use wheels when the cashier(s) scan the item.

0:51 they have a special rfid frequency that gets emitted by the tower, and lets say someone stole a phone. The box has a special circuit that will absorb or reflect the signals, therefore the alarm senses that a package or item is being stolen, and sounds off the alarm. And yes, other countries (America, where I live, at least) have rfid anti robbery detectors.

Actually, for the conveyor belt to like stop making so much noise, you can put a string at the start with an observer. That will activate the conveyor and then at the end another string turning it off.

Items still travel, you could still use the same beep circuit, just without the piston sounds. And if you want it to look more authentic you can use item frames with solid colour maps to make the ice look more like a conveyor belt

Those are anti theft systems that play alarms installed inside of it, they are activated by RFID tags, there are many company’s that make these anti theft alarms like Sensormatic synergy, checkpoint systems and more.
