Bolt 2 pieces delrin together and machine out the middle to allow replacement without pole teardown

That's a good idea! It should've been made that way to begin with. Simple replacement. Take care, G.

What does this mean? Possibly in "EXPLAIN LIKE I'M FIVE" terms?

Good to see you are safe and sound and still cranking it out!! Nicely done G and only one trip to the HW store! Engineering on the fly for a one off, one must always be agile enough to adjust for skim...loved it! Nice tutorial too! Glad you didn't show stripping off all that coil insulation, might have fallen asleep. ;-P A tip on that coil wire is to use PlastX liberally and let it set for a while then wipe it down real good. Did it once B4 and it worked to soften the coil a bit, worked for me. My Best to you and your family! ~PJ

Thanks PJ! Yeah, stripping off the coiled insulation was a pain. Good tip on the PlastX. I'd not considered trying to soften it- I just went my direction. Hope the same for you and yours as well. G.

Great video, very helpful. I have this model, it works great so why throw it away? Somebody detached it from the handle a year ago (I was off fishing) and now I am trying to figure out how to re-attach it. Even though this is not the topic of your video I think I got enough out of it to get my handle back on the saw. Thanks for your video and your great DIY attitude!

Great video G, I have the same problem you did. But I don’t have the skills or the lathe. Would you be willing to make a duplicate and sell it to me?
