There is no woodworker in the world who hasn't made a measuring mistake. Thanks for having the honesty to show it when you made one.

Ha, yeah, thanks Ken! So true, and my wife, AKA “the camera lady” seems to enjoy those moments as well! 👍😎

Tom, towards the end of this build you indicated that after assembly of the tray you complete the round over of the corners. How do you round over the inside corners with the arch of the handles causing an uneven path for the router to follow. Using either method of hands free or router table, you have the same issue an uneven surface. Or am I missing something.

Maybe loose pulley grub screw(s), or one of them is missing or a shaft key is missing. Regards.

Thanks Jim! We actually did solve the problem of the noisy drill press and you are absolutely right! It was a loose pulley “grub” screw (I didn’t even know they were called that) thanks for watching! 😎👍

I think your drill press needs to run a less rich diesel mixture.

😂 Yeah, that’s about how it sounded! Thankfully we got it fixed, figured out it was a loose pulley. 😎

Tom a similar but splayed dovetailed serving tray is definitely on my agenda, any tips?

Michael Kratky Sounds like you got this Michael. Only advice with spayed dovetails is take care in the marking out and everything will go well. They can be a little tricky when figuring the angle if double angled on the corner so my best advice is make a practice run, or two, to test before going for it with the final pieces. Thanks for watching!

Make sure the drill press pulleys (motor primary and belt secondaries) are locked down tightly. Other than that, I have no clue, but I agree with you that the sound your drill press is making is not right.
