Thank you for focusing on the details of the process, instead of the best angles and annoying music. I learned quite a bit here. Thanks.

No apologies on the first live stream went pretty well for a first time. Glitches to be expected. Love the silver work . Now I just need to get better at opal cutting first. Thanks for sharing your talents.

That was a beauty of a ring you made. I really enjoy all your videos, you made this a year ago but it felt like I was watching it live.

Another great video. It's very helpful for me. I followed your video on how to cut a high cab and it worked out really well for me after watching how it's done!

What a beautiful opal 😍 I've got a half carat triangle opal with emerald green at the tip and electric blue at the bottom with mid grey potch in the middle, one of the first opals I birthed using a dremel. Too small to set ,so its in my collection. Love your work

Smallest I’ve set is around 2.5mm earrings. 🤪👍

Wow, that is tiny, I had to buty a couple of ring blanks to set to set 2 small 5mm round blue opals, thankfully the final owners loved them👌

I live in a small appartment, and there's no space to have a dedicated work space. So i have to do all my stone work outside. Lately it's been about 100F outside, and we're currently surrounded by 3 different wildfires. One of those wildfires has burned over 50 square miles on its own. So there's also been a ton of smoke around, on top of it being hot as. In times like this, when I can't get anything done, I appreciate the fπ¢# out of your channel, and similar ones like it. I just wanna say thanks. Mahalo Nui Loa

My pleasure. I hope things settle down soon, I know I get a bit irritable if I don’t get my opal fix. Stay safe mate 🤪👍

Hey Phil,could you explain what the beader number 20 was used for,and does it pay to have 1 when you're setting claws like that. Sorry for the questions ,im rewatching alot of your vids tonight.
@theopalmills
@theopalmills 10 дней назад
G’day Jay, I use the beader to round out the top of the claws, if you roll it just right, it creates a ball shape to the tip of the claw. 🤪👍

@theopalmills ahh OK,I will have to look into 1 of those. I'm just getting all my tools together to give silversmithing a go. So any help is appreciated Phil,cheers for that. 👍🙂
