I've been a woodworker for over 30 years and there's nothing wrong with using the miter gage and rip fence the way you did in this video. There's no off cut off to get pinched between the blade and fence. Keep up the great work!
@axa.axa.

Hard to believe a guy with this amount of experience and quality tools would use both rip and miter at same time.

Good sturdy work bench. I made one similar years ago, maybe 15 or more. Served me well but thinking about building another for different purposes. My new one will be one that folds so it can be out of the way when I don't need it. I have a small shop that has to double as storage and a place for the mower. Nice work on your bench.

Love that you’ve shown a build with screws and not making it too complicated. Yet this piece is very solid and will serve its duty well.

I like it! One of the best looking 2x4 benches I've seen in a while. The only thing I would add is some more bracing for the shelf on the bottom. I usually store some heavy items down there so it could use some more strength.

Nicely done J! Now you need to add a vise or two & some hold downs on the top. I know that those wheels are lockable but I think that you will have some movement of the table when planning wood if it's located in the middle of a shop. Anyway, great work........... 👍👍😉😉

Hi J-woodworking! Excellent video as usual!! :) However, you don't need to apologize at 03:37 for using the fence and mitre gauge at the same time if the cut does not go all the way. The way you used it, can't make an offcut fly off towards the operator so all is good!
