Ken, I love when you do these simple projects, it helps keep them fresh in my mind. It is nice to have some “go to” stuff to do for those times when you only have a few minutes of shop time. Keep them coming I enjoy them all.

Nice... Simple project great for starting woodworkers with minimal tools. Thanks for the instruction and information. It's going to make a great gift for my niece.

You're very welcome. Thanks for tuning in and good luck with your build. Don't be afraid to change the angle of the cut to a 45 or 40 degree to play with the stability. Also, thickness of the stock will also help with stability. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

I love this video. One of the best videos with the most information for magic wine bottle holders. I made one of these over the weekend thanks to your video!

Okay Kenny, I thought I had viewed all of your videos, but I am really interested in the sloping jig you used on your drill press table. I really like the application for this project. And I also like the simplicity and outcome of your wine bottle holder.

Thanks for the kind words Dennis. Sadly, I don't have a show about the drill press table. It is on my list of shows to produce so hopefully, in the coming months, you will see a show that will demonstrate it for you. Sorry about that. Thanks for tuning in.

"Just going to make a quick adjustment here" ... says the man who obviously has never done anything "quickly" in his life. ;-) Thanks for the videos, your pace is refreshing after seeing so many sped-up stop action vids that need to try and compress an hour of instruction into a five minute RU-vid blast.

Thanks for the kind words on the show Michael. I truly attempt to keep my show as a "how to" instead of a fast motion "look what I did". There are some that hate the slow pace and many others that appreciate it. Glad to hear that you are one of the appreciative ones. Thanks for tuning in to the show and for understanding that in woodworking, there is no "quickly".

I just made some of these with a piece of 1X8 I found when I took the garbage out. I was able to create 6 of these cuties. They even work :-))

I really like your projects, I have a small shop. I was wondering how big is your shop?
@acutabove_woodworkings
@acutabove_woodworkings 6 лет назад
Thanks for the kind words on the projects Michael. It's difficult to come up with a weekly show that people like but I try my best and always appreciate positive feedback like yours. My shop is 12'X24' and with all the tools and equipment that I have in the building, it can be a challenge. Although the layout has changed somewhat over the years, I posted a tour of the shop a few years ago. If you are interested, you can find it here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QzppAfgte-A.html Thanks for tuning in to the show and for taking the time to leave me a comment. Very nice video. Does the hole have to be angled to make this? And I love the T Ruler! Haha. Thanks. 🤝
@acutabove_woodworkings
@acutabove_woodworkings 2 года назад
If you choose not to angle the hole James, then you have to enlarge it enough so that when the angled portion of the bottle holder is sitting flat to the table, the bottle sits almost parallel with the table top. Otherwise, the whole thing will just keep falling over. It's all about balance and weight distribution with this project so it is best done with an angled hole. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
@jamesbarlowjr.3762

@@acutabove_woodworkings Perfect Thanks! Not sure I can get an angle like that on my drill press tho. That’s just the thing. Thanks.
@acutabove_woodworkings
@acutabove_woodworkings 2 года назад
@@jamesbarlowjr.3762 You can drill the hole through a scrap block of wood and then cut the base of the wood to the angle you want your hole. Tilt you drill press table to the same angle and then clamp the scrap block to the board. The hole in the wood will guide the drill bit and prevent it from wandering. I hope that made sense and I hope it helps. Give it a try James. You might just surprise yourself.

Hi Ken, great video to watch. I was just wondering what the gauge/ruler was called that you used at 4:30 in the video.
@acutabove_woodworkings
@acutabove_woodworkings 4 года назад
The ruler that you are referring to, is called a T-Rule and they are made by INCRA. They are available at most woodworking suppliers, or from INCRA directly. They are available in either metric or imperial measurements and in several different lengths. I got mine from Lee Valley Tools. Here's the link. www.leevalley.com/en-ca/shop/tools/hand-tools/marking-and-measuring/rules/58877-incra-t-rules I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

Is the 12" long measurement critical?
@acutabove_woodworkings
@acutabove_woodworkings 5 лет назад
I don't think it is "critical" and there is room to play with it for sure. Just remember, that the longer yo make the board, the more unstable the wine holder is. Feel free to play with the angles and the length to make this project your own. The angles and the length that I give in the show, are merely suggestions and there are more than one way to make these wine holders. Thanks for tuning in and if you have any other question, please don't hesitate.

Never reach over a spinning saw blade. If you are too lazy to turn it off after each cut, walk around the table to pick it up. it only takes mistake and you fingers are gone. Holy crap that router use is just plain stupid. It's like you want to lose your fingers.

With 40 years of woodworking experience under my belt, I can say that I still have all of my digits in their place. For as many methods of woodworking, there are even more woodworking channels on youtube and I would suggest that if you don't like my methods, then maybe my channel isn't for you. Good luck finding a channel that meets the standards that you think are correct. Thanks for tuning in.

🤣🤣 typical little boy trump fan. Diluted, delusional, weak and full of narcissism. You're winning at life "maga boy" 🤣 You know what's worse than losing fingers. Being a total slave and puppet to the system and then losing all credibility by attaching yourself to a band of the lowest form of human potential possible. But yea... keep preaching that superiority complex around the internet.
