I saw this done using a wire coat hanger (probably a more pliable wire) but I couldn''t find the video. Luckily I found yours. I couldn't remember how to tie the two pieces together. Thanks for posting.
Your welcome, I'm glad you found this helpful and thanks for subscribing :) your correct, stainless steel is a harder material than coat hanger wire (mild steel) - but an important thing to consider, stainless steel is dishwasher safe ;)
@@Test-UCKC yep, here's a link to someone else's video of how to wind string onto a net needle: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zy0bRcX3O5A.html and there are plenty of video's out there on how to make a net if your interested
Interesting! I never would have looked at the shape of a net making needle and thought, "I could make one of those out of wire." Are you looking to use something like this in place of your brass one, or is this just an experiment?
Thanks :) I wasn't planning to use it, I had the idea while looking at the tube of welding rods that I can't use because my welding equipment is at work (lock-down) so I tried it, it's the same wire I used for the billy-can, so just an experiment, It could be neater but it was a first try
