Thank you all so much for watching! This project was a lot of fun for me to work on. I had to study the shape of a wolf head a lot to understand the structure better.
Looking forward to share with you my next art project (perhaps it will be related to drawing)
Make sure to follow me on instagram if you want to see what i am up tof right now :D

To be honest dude, most people here are watching for your woodworking skills, not your filming and editing skills. Don’t feel bad if you don’t think some of the camera views are very good, the quality of your carvings more than make up for it. Thanks for the upload

Don't be concerned with being unique! If you're making art to please other people (unless of course it's a career), then you're doing it wrong. You need to make art because _you_ want to do it, don't do it because you think it's what other people want. Otherwise you'll never be happy with it. Trust me, I've experienced this and am currently trying to break free of it. Also, be careful with that power grinder, every single one of those things is possessed by a demon that will try to kill you!

There we have the perfectionist, huh?😉 Don't worry, you're such a great artist and your works are absolutely stunning! Also I like the variety of your videos😊 Keep it up!👍 Of course I have some ideas as well😜 and I wonder how your interpretations of the creatures and animals of the norse gods/mythology would be like (sorry, I really love this stuff to much😂). Not only wolves or ravens but something like the cats of Freyja, Sleipnir, Jörmungandr and so on. Maybe it would be something for the future if you like it yourself. But even more I'm excited to see your amazing ideas with your unique style. Be yourself, keep doing what you love and it's truly always going to be wonderful😘👌

Turned out good. Nice job. I would argue about the base though. Many times we get into the habit of always having a trophy style base. I would suggest incorporating the base into the sculpture. Having a base solidifies the objects visual weight. This isn't bad but it does have an effect on how we see the object. If you do like having that style of base, change how it meets the table. Adding little feet to the bottom to give it just a few millimeters off the table will drastically change how we see it. There's more visual interest in something that's lifted up off the table, kinda like giving it more importance.. but great job. Love the videos

Hi! I would like some advice! I wish to pick up wood carving as a hobby, cause I’m currently into drawing, I now have my chance because in my literature class we have to pick a project for a book we have read and I picked wood carving from “The Long Winter.” So by the time I’ve posted this I’m done getting the bark off of the piece of wood I choose from my back yard. Well more like front yard. But! I was wondering what kind of tools should I get to carve my piece, I don’t know what kind of wood it is so I’m just going to guess. I’m actually planning on doing an animal, maybe a snake or lizard! So I hope this isn’t too long and that you’ll respond! Have a nice day!
@Jonasolsenwoodcraft
@Jonasolsenwoodcraft 4 года назад
Hello! That sounds interesting! Well it is a good idea to start off with a dremel and use a sanding drum as i do in my videos. You could also get by with a whittling knife, but that depends a lot more on what kind of wood you are working with. There are a ton of really nice wood carving videos here on youtube and you could probably find out which kind of wood that works best by googling it. Good luck! and it is also cool to hear that you are into drawing which is a really nice foundation to have when it comes to wood carving
@jasonjenny712
@jasonjenny712 4 года назад
Thank you! I used a pocket knife to take the bark off, and made it easier to take the bark off by making it wet! So I’ll keep that in mind! Thanks for the advice I’m sure it’s gonna be useful, I want to know, is it okay to use wood from outside, or wood you buy from like a store? The thing I’m asking is, is it easier to carve wood from outside or wood from a store? Once again thank you for the advice, you’re such an amazing artist, you’re a massive inspiration to me, and you help me think to myself, you can do it, you can get better.
