Not sure which video you asked what audio we listen to while we're working. I got your wi-fi headphones and being a person who has been through the 60's twice, I listen to most tings between classical through hard rock depending on my mood. I use free Pandora and am currently listening to Blues.

My man. Your videos have been very informational. Always wanted to get into woodworking but never had the space. Now I do. Already built a handful of things and to my surprise didn't totally botch them. Now I'd like to make signs. You mention to put sealer on before carving. Could you put it on after carving to prevent and bleeding into newly carved areas?

Thank you for visiting! It is an old habit I learned when I started out making wood signs and learned by basic techniques from Eric Rhoten. I'm not sure it actually helps mix the paint, but honestly it is just from habit.
I was wondering if it’s necessary to apply another coat of sanding sealer after cutting out the letters on a CNC router? I would think, once you’ve carve out the letters, there wouldn’t be any sealer on the bottom or on the wall area. Wouldn’t the cut-out area absorb the paint like the top of the board without sealer? Hey buddy thanks for the video I am just now starting to make a sign business after receiving my CNC machine I have a lot of questions about warped wood I am a woodworker and have been for sometime and knew that if I was going to make a sign I would more than likely use pine 1x’s But I was really concerned beings a lot of the 1x material is cupped and twisted, I really I don’t want to send a product out with a visible cup especially it being on a flat wall and I really don’t want to put the time into sawing it in half jointing and planing it, do you normally just pick through the pile and get the best you can find and just deal with a little bit of twist or cup or have you ever found milling necessary? Do you find some twist or cupping being completely ok?
Totally agree with you! I use mostly 3/4" thickness and sometimes 1" depending on the project. I do pick through the pile whether at a box store or at the mill and try to get the best material I can. Unfortunately you will have those boards which have a little warp to them and also they will be straight and true when you pick them up and the warp after you get them back to your shop. If the warp is minor I use a planer to straighten as much as possible. I'm not a fan of big repair on the material either to attempt to flatten. Thankfully if the sign is smaller this is not as much of a problem, however, if the sign is bigger the warping problem is much more, especially if you biscuit the pieces together to make a bigger sign. Some sign makers avoid this by using other materials such as plywood, MDF or MDO versus pine. If that material works for your sign creation then great! However, I enjoy the pine the most of all because of the natural look. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you and your wood sign business!
Thank you for watching! The overall board size is 9" tall x 24 " wide. The main lettering "Last Name" is 2.75 inches tall. The "First Names" at the top is .84 inches tall as well as the bottom lettering. I use VCarvePro to design. Hope this helps!
