One of the problems I have on vent setting adjustments is learning to go by the waveforms. Obviously, I have the waveforms in textbooks and they are simple enough but rarely do I see waveforms that simple when I'm actually on the job. Can you post a video of interpreting dyssynchrony or discomfort based solely on waveforms?

I initially went to the Rate because it was out of the recommended rate of 12-20. I honestly didn’t go any further into it. Not sure if that’s a good or bad approach, but it is how I came to the conclusion.

Hello Coach .. yesterday we had a neonate patient the ABG result was acute respiratory acidosis .. the Dr. shift the mode to P-SIMV from P-A/C but the actual rate of Patient increased to 65bpm above and the Spo2 fluctuates to 75-80 I suggest to shift back the patient to P-A/C with the settings of PIP-18 rate of 35, I.time of 0.50, PEEP 4, fio2 60% but the Spo2 of the patient still is not good .. what should be the correct adjustment of the settings? I am not expert in managing neonate it is really my struggle .. I hope you could help me on this ., Thank you !
