I don’t know if other people agree with this, but I value the actual build over making an engine for it. I would love to a realistic, fast, and highly maneuverable plane, even if it was powered by those spiral fan blocks.
The fact that you didn’t just use steam rockets for the engines takes this to a whole different level. Yeah, it likely would have been lighter and faster, but you lose a lot of the technical wow factor. That engine was really interesting.
treads are a pain, but aren't too bad at low speeds. They are just hinges with your choice of how to keep it on the wheels (armor panels, exterior wheels.)
you should make a large robot, that breaks into 5 smaller robots that can reconnect into the main robot. Don't know if this has been done before but it would be cool to see
This video meant a lot to me because my father actually just switched over from being a US Air Force A-10 Warthog mechanic to a desk job in the Air Force.
if you're careful with the wood panels you can actually make a proper functioning airfoil with it. I have a small plane that uses 3 wing blocks for the vertical and horizontal stabilizers but the main wings are exclusively wood panels
The A-10 Warthog is not classified as a plane, but rather is classified as a “weaponized aircraft”. That’s because the Warthog is built AROUND the gun, meaning it is literally a flying gun and thus not a plane. Furthermore, A-10 Warthog users are called Stick Operators instead of Pilots because, again, it’s not a plane.
yup, A -plane- aircraft that was entirely built and designed around "this big ass gun is gonna fly, you cannot stop us from making it fly" it's so built around the gun that it wouldn't fly straight if the bullet casings were ejected due to the incredible weight difference throwing off the center of gravity. No matter what modifications they made to the aircraft the gun was staying the exact same. Plus the gun was made by an appliance company, GE.
Ingenious way of using hot air balloons to balance the C.O.M but over this is what I expected, since your on the topic of military vehicles why not try making a m1 Abrams with a main conman and suspension, I know it's much but I think it will be pretty cool. Thanks anyways ried! Nice job.
I really love how you actually recreated the entire engine from scratch and slowly built everything upon it. It actually gave me a better understanding on how engines work on actual machines. It's one of those things that you don't really think about a lot, but actually seeing every step of the process and seeing which specific parts link to what parts really gives me a bigger appreciation for actual engineering. It's crazy that we can do all this just by taking advantage of fastly rotating parts!
I haven’t watched you for a while and I’m my sleep deprived state I spoke aloud without swallowing before hand spitting on my screen as I said it “I LOVE YOUR BUILDS” in a quiet throat filled with mucus kinda way
Not sure if the game has water, but an aircraft carrier with the ability to launch the planes and stop them in a similar fashion that the navy does. That way the plane isn’t really as important as the objective is. 👍🏽
I'm sure someone else has made the joke, the reason it didn't work too well is because the real plane was built around the gun, rather than the gun being built last, thanks for the vid tho, it's giving me build ideas in other games.
Ah yes the Fairchild republic's A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" with a Gatling gun that specialises in making bad guys spaghetti and Americans insurance claims made by a washing machine company.
This game encapsulates the aesthetics of both Da Vinci contraptions and 19th century flying machine prototypes really well. Engine not efficient enough? Just add another propeller in series!
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-turbofan, straight-wing, subsonic attack aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic for the United States Air Force.
please make a tank. someone suggested the Abrams. so maybe we could do that one. also with working tank suspension please. i think it would be the perfect kind of build for you Ried to really test your knowledge and vehicle building ability.
A really unique flying craft you could make is a cyclocopter, it has some ufo-like manoeuvring capability. There is a really good video showing a rc cyclocopter that explains how it works really well.
bro💀 imagine you in the A-10 full power which is not so slow and then your lever outside the left wing of the plane just start increasing it air resistance very fast and the second after you are spinning the hell out of the plane💀
Very food design, i would really see you making something like a Su-27 or Mig-29, something in the super manuevarable category. I think it would be a great challenge to make somethin that is quite fast while being very manouverable and also carrying weapons like guided bombs or cruise missiles
If we're building more planes, especially war planes, why not build a Convair B-58 Hustler? It could pose a challenge as the nuke is attached below the fuselage of the plane instead of in a bomb bay.
Wow. Next can yall make a airship shat drops R E A L L Y big bombs. One rule is that it had to have a ballast system to go up and down and another is that most of the lift is from balloons. Thank you
You could try to make the P47 Thunderbolt. It had a 28 cylinder supercharged rotary engine and was the spiritual successor to the A10 as the A10's full name is the A10 Thunderbolt II.
