omg kayla i just realized why this house feels oddly familiar to me LOL ive been playing in this house for a while😭 i didn’t know you havent posted the video
SAME haha! when i first saw the layout i was like "wow, why do i feel like ive seen this before?" but then when she started with the bedroom i realized 😭
@@hannahskjellanger3929 I'm there as LauraZun, but I think I have only published a lot or two. My builds are suburbans with brick walls, some stores and flower shops, and a 4-story building with a skating rink 🤗 (get to work*, dine out, seasons and spooky stuff)
I’ve been working on it and so far it’s taken me about half an i game year but I’ve only done like parks and like a workout area and a pool and that’s it so major props to you
I love this house. Honestly, with the addition of likes and dislikes, I find tv's to be totally unnecessary now. It's so nice your sims can have fun doing their hobbies now. Kind of insane that wasn't in the game @ release.
It is such a cute little house. I am glad there are people like you so that people like me can have nice houses too. I am so bad at building that I was ridiculously proud of myself that I managed to make a little 3 wall roof overhang without a floor for my beer brewing station. It had quite a hard time with it so I was so glad that I managed to do it.
i absolutely agree, the blue swatches are so nice, i dunno if it's because the light in the game is already blue toned, or if it's easier to get nice shades of blue then say orange, but the blue swatches are better! It's so hard not to pick them or the white ones.
I just did this. (I used a lot of gallery builds to start my lots, but I still count it lol) my favorite part is creating the lore for my “New Newcrest”
I’m trying to make a Vintage Newcrest save, filled with homes all based pre 1940s. From vintage home catalogs. Have a few already. Many are base game only, but I don’t have a whole ton of packs, so they’re pretty accessible no matter what.
"All the best swatches are blue!" "Everything in this game has a decent blue swatch!" "All the good stuff is just blue!" I actually have a theory on the prevalence of blue both in and outside the sims... We tend to think of neutral colors as being white, black, gray, brown, beige, etc. A lot of these neutral colors have made their way into fashion, primarily in slacks. I know, going from why is blue so common to slacks seems weird, but I'm talking pants for a reason. Jeans became common in casual wear around the 1960s, or around 60 years ago. That's plenty of time for jeans to have become one of the most worn type of pants, and have, as far as I can tell, sort of 'redefined' what the color blue is. Blue jeans are treated as a neutral, paired with any and all colors under the sun. So, if I'm correct, and maybe I'm not, blue is a neutral today. Because of blue jeans.
GIRL your videos help me out!! they make really happy and kinda calms my anxiety!!!! and your videos ike this get me really inspired to build in the sims!!!
I struggle with making the same house over and over again too! I always catch myself using the same colors for everything and actually it's kinda boring and idk how to do it differently but also make it look good.
Hi Kayla, I really like your videos and something you said here today made me think of something, perhaps it could help/be fun for you. So hear me out. First, I have not watched every single of your videos (Will get there, haha) so I am not aware as of if you have done this before... You seem to always build within your comfort zone, which is good, but I noticed you comment yourself about it often even. Your builds are not boring, they have your signature, you know? But a fun challenge you might want to do and it works very well with my students (I teach artistic makeup) is I tell them to make a list of what they always use, or often, and then create something while restricting yourself from this list you made. It might sound very boring. Or even too simple but it really does work to boost creativity and expand your work! Hope it brings something!
Best way to do it is to use up that 20k and get as close to 0 as possible….I love starting out with absolutely nothing. Works in all the Sims games…get that Sim a job immediately and then just slowly chip away - ended up with a palace each and every time. With the smaller plots may not be able to widen it as much but you can go up and down. I made this underground garden using the basement tool. Put a fluorescent swimming pool in.
Lilsimsie: I wasn't trying to make a Blue Suburban. I really was trying to make it fancier than that. Lilsimsie's Brain while she's sleeping: You will make Blue Suburban's, only Blue Suburban's. Anything else is a crime against the Blue Suburbian GODS! P.S. I love your channel, it brings out my happy! :D
The "simsiesession" is an 'obsession' for all simmers. Your world builds are amazing!!. And must have!. Especially base game for console players. I don't know if that's even a thing but it's almost 3 am for me and I will be searching for your content. Love you bye 💛💛
I only recently started playing the Sims and have found I love building elaborate houses on the small starter lots. To the point my New Crest Iin my Lagacy Soap Opera save is full of 100000 plus simoleon houses and very ritzy community lots that tend to use every bit of space. Like you can put a decent sized pool and house and have place for a garden on those tiny "starter lots"
Kayla, you should try a build where you do landscaping first and you have to build around it. Like, depending on where you put the trees could determine if it’s an L-shaped house or an octagonal house.
I feel you on the "I just feel like building" vibe! I am slowly so slowly turning newcrest Into "plumbob studios adventure park" using all the get famous movies and making theme lots for each...
My favourite hidden object tree is the Star Wars tree with the ribbons. I actually love so many items from the Star Wars pack... including the lights which are my favourite lights. Base game builds are always a struggle for me. I try to keep most of the ones I post to the gallery limited to maybe 5 packs but it's hard even to do that sometimes.
Weirdly enough. I've been building base game houses to fill up empty lots too. I enjoy it the simplicity and love that the homes match the neighboring shell houses.
i just recently built up newcrest with all kinds of sims and community lots, and i know that on this exact lot is where i hsve a restaurant owner whos adult daughter w/o a job and her toddler moved into his tiny home. was very fun to make a house that was cluttered like any grandparent's house but have to shove room for the toddler and for the toddler's mom 😂
The second I saw this video I literally had to rebuild like all the sims 4 all pack world so when I finished this playlist I ran to my pc and started to build, love the build lilsimsie
lawl, this is the house I've been using for my most recent author sim who likes gardening! She just moved because it got too small, but I've been playing in it for the past week. It's kinda surreal watching it be built.
I just made a save where I have deleted ALL the lots in The Sims 4 and I've been enjoying building again after just not building anything for ages. I am nowhere near as good as you.
This is very cool. Also, I'd like to play as a landlord and have my sim visit their properties for a career. That way you have a reason to care about your old builds but from a role-playing perspective.
hey kayla i just wanted to tell you how amazing you are and how much i love ur videos my grandma died infront of me while i was watching one of your videos you have helped me so much and i want u too never give up at what u do best love you
Guess which color for the carpet floor and wall color I chose for the first time for my own kid's room 20yrs ago? - Exactly, BLUE❣️😂 Sky-blue to be honest and I love ur blue builds Kayla, don't worry. Are u back already? If yes, welcome back you two love birds 💞 At 10:08 you could have used the tiny boxes wardrobe which ur Sims can use as a surface as well by the way. The white-beige swatch would fit perfectly and it's in the base game as well. 💖 Omg, I already build this. I made a park in that big lot, an art gallery with a nice library next to each other on the other lots. In the back of the public lots I even kinda created a tiny park avenue which looks quite connected to the area. 😍💖
also, like, blues work together. there are so many other color swatches but they don't work with the similar swatches of other things but blue just kind of default is good with almost every other shade of blue
Imagine… that long strip of small lots could be a row of older style of community lots. With maybe a theater and diner. The town could have an older feel to it. It would add a lot of character and fun game play :)
