This project took a little trial and error to get it to work just right but the persistence paid off in the end! It's definitely one of my favourite scrapwood Challenges!
You can download a pdf with the dimensions I used here paskmakes.com/p...
The dimensions may not work exactly with your own springs and materials but it's a fun project that you should be able to figure out with some trial and error. The pdf is very basic but will give you a starting point.
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.

You should start work on a new scrap wood challenge intro for #50, with the Luxo lamp stomping on, and replacing one of the O’s in scrap wood. You could have all of your past challenges surround the letters, and maybe have a few of the other letters made from projects. Your lego could shape some of the harder letters, and easier ones like the O’s could be done with your lamp and stool.
@PaskMakes
@PaskMakes 5 лет назад
That would be cool! :)

I love it. But I have to warn you as Electrical Engineer, you can burn cone for long time usage. You should always use LED bulb which has low watt. You should check heating. I suggest, you can cover with a foil inside the cone, it can help for reflection and this good way for getting better illumination and it can isolate for heating. Perfect design I enjoyed!!! BTW you should add you logo on it ;-)
@PaskMakes
@PaskMakes 5 лет назад
Thanks Eren! The bulb is an LED low wattage(5.5W), it's seems absolutely fine! :)

I'm have plans to do something similar to this, but I'm fairly new to woodworking. Sooo, my shade, I'm afraid, won't be quite as ambitious as yours! lol I am curious, what was that you applied at the end off the process? Was that wax? And what did you use inside the shade? From the States, love your videos! keep 'em coming!
@PaskMakes
@PaskMakes 5 лет назад
The wax was a beeswax furniture polish and the paint was a water based matt finish! :)
