This is lovely!! Well done - the finishing is so professional. Would you be willing to provide specifics around fabric type and quantity?
2 года назад
Thank you! The fabric is all of completely unknown fiber content, as it was all either purchased secondhand or gifted. I know the underskirt was about one curtain's worth of fabric, haha. I honestly don't really remember at this point exactly how much I used, perhaps a couple yards of the blue and 2-3 of the white?

I've been looking for tutorials on renaissance dresses and this is by far my favourite great job! I wanna create something similar and have a few questions Was the dress easy to get into with just the side lacing? And also is the pleated blue piece attached to the bodice? Thanks in advance
2 года назад
Aww, I'm so glad! I was able to get into it almost entirely by myself, I actually really only needed help with the ties on the sleeves (hard to tie a nice bow with only one hand!). All of the blue (bodice and overskirt) is one piece, there's a slit down each side of the skirt where the lacing is to get in and out. I would have done a 'get dressed' video on this but I was afraid of flashing people!
