I did originally have my guy (pictured in pfp) lose his eye and arm in a accident via magic nonsense, but he healed from it. But now I made so he had to rip it off himself because of a cave in and he broke his tail so bad it couldn't be salvaged. Then lost his eye training to use hemomancy because he tried make a blade before he learned to regen, and that he only can regenerate what's left after he learned it. That and the demon of pure Hatred keeping him alive but not in tact that damns his soul no matter what. And that's before all the shit goes down
"Remember all those personality traits I gave you earlier? Yeah scratch all that, your new defining personality trait is being *_depressed"_* is so real💀💀💀 #justiceforlettuceemoticon
It takes one to know one, you’re the expert of experts. Your brain is of less size due to you keeping nothing but the most important information. All I have is random fun facts that will never prove useful
Literally all of my OCs being overpowered beings capable of shifting reality whenever they please themselves to with every single one of them having a back story in which they die in some messed uo way and turn into ghosts because why the hell not
i make most of my characters able to wipe out an entire civilization because i made them dimension gods despite it not being their controlled dimension or whatever shit that shouldn't be possible
Okay but like am I the only one that thinks that OP characters can be super fun to just fuck around with and that the ppl calling those ocs cringe need to just chill tf out??? Like yes, Patricia, I WILL have my oc explode the moon, thank you very much.
Most relatable video ever to every oc artist, im half deep into the insane lore and then one day i just look up. Stratch the whole thing, to the void it go. But the process always continues every few months, lets gooooo
@JayRozie , @zambiepug4199 that's so me!!!!! except i suddenly get an idea, draw it, and then either send it to the depths of the void for months and bring it out to do some lore or design things and repeat this process (me with bamb currently, pointy man and wingbi), same as 1 except its a big lore and design explosion that lasts for a few weeks and pops up for more lore once in awhile after that (binary, 3 of my stereotypical sibling bambisonas and eclipse) or make a character that i wouldnt even consider an oc as of making it/2 weeks after i do so/when the next oc is made, leave it out for years and suddenly be like "ok this is my oc now" once i reach it in the back of my mind again (xambi, candai [both of which are extremely old, 2022 old to be exact]) this is accurate
I will adopt lettuce emoticon, no oc deserves to be thrown out and abandoned ❤ *I say, as my vampire and witch ocs cry out in pain from now being drawn in months and abandonment*
You know what is worse? When your charecter has no trauma. 50/50 shot its wholesome or a novel is going to come out that makes it seem like spiderman had it nice.
I find this rather amusing since the majority of my characters have next to no trauma, one that did actually had their trauma scrapped due to it not fitting with the character.
One of the most important things on creating a oc... The trauma. My oc got a very specific but resonable trauma. He has trauma with pink crystals lol. Don't ask why. (He got murdered by one and now has a giant hole in the chest. Idk how he survives but oc logic :D)
I think i found peak content again. Also i might be apart of a small minority of artist because i dont really give my ocs unnecessary trauma. I also, and this might sound crazy but, I also have female ocs that i HAVEN'T SEXUALISED!!! WHAAAT?? I KNOW RIGHT THAT CRAZYY!!!😱😱
No dw i get that, like i used to give mine unnecessary sad stories but after ive personally grown emotionally over the years a part of me doesn't want my ocs to suffer the way i would. So in this case i gift most of them a cute and happy life.
One of my favorite things to do as a writer to avoid the pain of writing constant agony for my characters is write an alternate version of them where their past traumas didn’t happen. Solves my depression and theirs, while turning the difficult brooding story into a fun high school romp. Plus, it gives me insight into how the trauma truly affects them and their personality, and whether I’ve actually written compelling characters: if the untraumatized ones are flat and boring, then so are the traumatized ones. They’re just hiding it behind angst.
My two main OCs are literally the first two people to be revived after death, the first became a post human AI who named themselves MARC, they noticed nothing other than him becoming infuriating, the other, was cloned in and got serious PTSD, to the point that getting him through dock airlocks was impossible, although both actively recover somewhat
Help this is so relatable 😭😭 (except the redesign for the male audience) I may add finding out about that OC years later and redesigning + changing their entire story, I love doing thtat to my OCs
No the trauma i ad to my character shaped them as a person. What i didn't need a bunch of people to die and them be bullyed nah idk what ur talking about
@@NottQutexx guess who else is a guy? That's right! You just won the game show for slightly more knowledge on me! And I'm not even gay or anything! Yippee!!!
Im sharing this for no reason, but my OCs tend to look like: - Some guy in mage/warrior esque outfit - Biblically accurate orb - 1,000th dimensional entity - Character with atom-thickness edge (in short, edgelord) - Horror monster that isn't really scary Or a stickfigure (with filled in head, not hollow)
